A project I had a long time ago that I abandoned because reasons.

TODO - write on the term "lens"
Reducing Red-eye ∞
- Turn on all the lights in the room to contract their pupils.
- Flashes which do red-eye reduction flash twice.
-
Move the flash away from the camera.
- Bounce it off of the ceiling.
-
Move closer to the subject and zoom out.
-
Digital editing has notes on hand-removing it.

Terms useful for AI art ∞
(AI Art)
Terms can be taken from photograph, filmography, painting, portrait painting, etc.
Shot - (position of camera):
-
Extreme close-up
- The frame stops at the subject's forehead and chin.
- Forces the viewer to focus on the subject's expression. A rare shot which must be used judiciously.
-
- The shoulder line is visible, but usually not the clavicle.
-
Medium close-up
- More of the shoulder is visible than the close-up. Can include the clavicle.
- Excellent at showing detailed facial expressions while allowing for simple subject movement like a pivot. More complex movement requires tracking into a medium shot, although that's fairly easy. Poor at tracking subject movement, since it's difficult for the camera to stay steady. While this limitation has been overcome by contemporary technology, significant subject movement seems strange to see and imparts a kind of vertigo to the viewer because of the background changes.
-
- Mid shot, waist shot, head and shoulders, bust
- A general purpose shot with high subject visibility. Shows most of the body, often stopping above the ankles and showing a significant amount of background over the head.
- Allows for significant movement of the subjects, where they themselves shift naturally into other shot types without the camera needing to change length quickly or at all.
- Excellent to simultaneously show a pair of seated people in conversation.
-
American shot, "cowboy shot", half length
- aka medium-long
- The frame ends near the knees. Can include more than one subject.
- Allows for both clear visibility of the face, excellent visibility of body language, and enough visibility of the hands past waist level. Perfect for classic American Western gun-drawing showdowns, hence the nickname.
-
Full shot
- The whole subject is just visible within the frame.
- Good for movement. Fair for body language. Poor for expression.
-
- aka establishing shot, long shot
- The whole of the subject(s) are visible, and includes the environment around them.
- Good for showing the landscape/background, and movement/gathering of subjects. Poor for basically everything else.
- High angle
-
Low angle
-
- Ultrawide angle which captures more content at the edges but warps the whole image into a perceived bulge in the middle.
- Terms like "GoPro footage" lean in this direction.
- TODO - Colors
-
- Blurred backgrounds
-
- Bright edges, dark shadows

Subject looking up
Portrait (Portrait photography):
Terms can be intermingled, such as "full-body environmental view" or "three-quarter studio portrait".
- Full face - front view
- Profile - side view
- Head shot - Just the head. Combines with the below, e.g. "Traditional headshot":
- Traditional - Studio setting or plain background, focuses on the subject. Headshots therefore focus on the subject's face and expression. Often formal and professional.
- Cinematic - Stylized, dramatic, creative, or expressive
- Lifestyle - Everyday environmental, often with the subject performing everyday things.
- Environmental - In an outdoor setting to include more content, personality, or style.
- Full-body / full-length - Whole body.
- Three-quarter / two-thirds - head turned ~45° away from the camera.
- Candid - Without the subject's knowledge. Done to capture them in a natural / relaxed state.
- Fine art - Stylized and artistic paintings. Usually done for creative or expressive roles.
-
Conceptual - Designed to convey a specific idea or message. Best suited for artists or photographers who want to explore a particular theme or concept.
Other:
- Infrared photography (or terahertz)
-
- Radio wave photograph is a thing.
-
X-ray photography (Radiography) (or gamma rays, etc.)

Bullshitted some notes on shots. It seems that while some users will do AI art with prompts like "cowboy shot", these are not known by all/most/many/any models; I have no idea.
