An awkward dungeon management game, with walls you can't dig out, rooms you build but don't know how much of or what size, and an interface that could only be inspired by a 1980s DOS game.
Absolutely not recommended.

- The tutorial is awkward, with many moments of repetition. Several commands are awkward.
- It talks about things like "recall", which makes no sense.. I don't see a way to do this or know what's going on.
-
Things it should talk about:
- Replacing some buildings with others (impossible?)
- Un-doing digging a wall. (impossible?)
- Changing a build-hand back to the dig-hand.
- Hotkeys.. are there any? Oh god this interface is bad.
-
Do I have to scroll with only the cursor keys? Oh god, why can't I use the mouse?
Second map
- What is a "veigns of evil" ? What is a sin?
- Oh, there's a clickable thing at the top. The game should pause when I enter that menu.
- How do I know what building is what? Tooltips are fucking slow. Buildings look nothing like their icons.
-
That minimap is such useless trash.
- How do I know what is where?
- How do I know what buildings have been built?
- How do I know how much of what buildings I need?
- Do buildings need to be certain shapes? The map is awkward, can I make buildings awkward?
- Oh, I discovered a sell feature. God the interface is shit.
- What are the hotkeys?
- How do I recall all units again?
-
How do I recall workers again?
- I need workers to not just not pass an area, but only pass back to get home, and asap. Grabbing and dropping is annoying, recalling is annoying.
- Why is there a recall feature when I can pick things up?
- How do I zoom out?
- How do I zoom out?

The mouse is laggy.
- Options > Gameplay - Use Hardware Cursor.
-
Options
- Says "fullscreen", but it is fullscreen windowed and not true fullscreen.
- How is there a vsync option when it is fullscreen-windowed?
- Increasing the texture resolution hung the game for a long while.
- There is no way to reset options.
-
Starting a new campaign, it is not obvious what I should do. It just need a giant "go" button, or to better-highlight the tiny piece of an island.
Beginning the single-player campaign freezes at ~80% loaded ∞
(reported)
Loading the campaign freezes at 80% or so. I ended up doing an alt-f4
.
- On first try, I was prompted by Windows regarding networking. I pressed cancel.
- I tried more than once and it begins loading quickly but always freezes.
- I tried validating via Steam.
- I tried manually un-setting my options changes.
-
I do not have a virus scanner running.
- I do have Windows Defender, of course.
-
I do not have a firewall running.

Using Chocolatey
choco install vcredist-all
