wget >
NOTE: curl and Curlmirror are also good for this.
Untested ∞
wget -r -k -p -nH --follow-ftp -np http://example.com
Most recent notes ∞
\wget \ --adjust-extension \ --convert-links \ --execute robots=off \ --mirror \ --page-requisites \ \ ` # `
Other useful features
--directory-prefix .
-
--wait 0.25
- There are some other options like this.
Old notes ∞
- first try
Grabbing a page, making it work locally. Making sure it has all the pictures it needs:
- This doesn't work properly.. =(
wget \ --convert-links \ --progress=dot \ --random-wait \ --retr-symlinks \ --page-requisites \
- second try
Grabbing a website, making it work locally. Making sure it has all the pictures it needs:
wget \ --convert-links \ --no-parent \ --recursive \ --progress=dot \ --level 99 \ --random-wait \ --retr-symlinks \
Other options of note:
-
--no-host-directories
-- Generate a "flat" cache like1.jpg
instead ofimages/1.jpg
- third try
wget --mirror –w 2 --page-requisites --html-extension –-convert-links --directory-prefix ./destination/directory
This is what I was trying..
wget --mirror --page-requisites --html-extension --convert-links --directory-prefix "."
While this works, the links are not prefixed properly! Maybe I was impatient, but even when I use --level=2
it would keep going on and on and on..
