2019-11-01 - I had an old note that said The Five Rings - (~1645 book), by Miyamoto Musashi, has a section called "the ground book", but I don't recall anything relevant offhand.
Meaning of "Jo" ∞
Jo probably means something close to "place".
This is probably a bad way to translate Jo:
- ground as in soil and earth, as opposed to floor?
- ground as in grounds, or area within which something happens?
-- like playground, fairground, etc..
The term dates from 1942. [ 1 ] TODO - Past-self didn't provide a source.
