Stealing ∞
- Items on enemies must be stolen using Hands items.
-
A Rogue is the most appropriate.
- Other classes work, but at a much-reduced ability and with a maximum of 50%.
- A higher level character has a higher chance of success.
- +Hit helps.
-
Once an item is stolen its effects are no longer applied to the enemy, obviously, but this also means you can disarm and debilitate enemies by stealing from them.
- Stealing a weapon might completely hobble an enemy.
-
A 1% chance to steal using a woefully under-leveled Rogue might still be worth attempting.
- If you can park your character on an Invulnerability square and keep trying round after round, you will eventually succeed.
- It is for this very reason that I always have a Steal item in my top inventory slot. It is less clicks and is easier to macro if you use a special controller [ 3 ] Or an interface like the Mayflash PS2 Controller Programmable Convertor. or software.
Store notes ∞
-
A lot of useful items can be purchased from the store.
- No silver/gold items can be purchased!
-
You can upgrade/downgrade what is shown in a store by visiting the council.
- When you upgrade you will begin to lose access to lower level items.
-- Remember to buy any items marked new in a store before you upgrade and can't get them any more (unless you downgrade).
- When you upgrade you will begin to lose access to lower level items.
-
You can visit a store, and if you don't like what you see you can exit and visit it again to get a new randomized list.
- There is no way to control what is shown.
