- A set of scripts to build and test several versions of gcc and glibc for most architectures supported by glibc. It will even download and patch the original tarballs for you. It will create a Linux crosscompile environment for the desired architecture.
-
- A set of Makefiles and patches that makes it easy generate a cross-compilation toolchain and root filesystem for your target Linux system using the uClibc C library.
-
- A cross-compilation toolkit designed to make embedded Linux application development easier. It also provides a full set of tools to integrate and cross-compile an entire Linux distribution.

- The successor of the great OpenZaurus project. Basically OpenEmbedded is a build system that can generate (cross-compile) software packages for embedded targets.

Research on [[cross-compiling]] has begun in response to the strangeness in the [[Sharp Zaurus SL-series]] [[Zaurus distributions]] not having the tools I want. In fact, it seems that a lot of the usability issues I hate the most are still present in this environment.
Work continues on finding the best ROM/distribution for my [[Zaurus SL-C1000]].
