- a.k.a. House, M.D.
a.k.a. Dr. House
House is a unique show. I don't know where to begin complementing it. The main character, Dr. House, is acted legindarily well.
Everything in House feels like television, where many other shows try to feel like movies. It has an episodic nature, where each episode can stand alone, and there are undercurrents of themes and story arcs which carry through multiple episodes. It's very well written in this regard.
Unlike so many other shows, it has a massive run time, great story arcs and a proper and satisfying conclusion.
It has a bit of a Hell's Kitchen vibe, with the superiority complex personality in charge, but as offputting as that normally is for me, it works well here.
It's also one of those extremely technical shows. If it were a science fiction it would be unwatchable from being rife with technobabble. Instead, it's mostly over the head of the viewer while somehow remaining captivating.
I have no complaints about any of it. I watched it a while back and it is still stuck in my mind.
