In a utopic-ish world, a woman ages out of her career and looks to transplant into a new opportunity.
Plodding and uninteresting.

The last remaining Transformers on Earth are hunted down and taken apart for their technology.
It's fast and loose, and has a lot of explosions and such; meh.

An enforcer for the survivors of a ruined world learns that he lives in a utopia that stagnates population.
Although it got slow later on, it's quite nice even with its age.
Inspired by Logan's Run - (1967 book), by William F. Nolan

A machine goes back in time to save it's reprogrammer from another machine that was created thanks to another instance of that first machine having been sent back in time to kill that reprogrammer's mother which created the timeline that made the machines in the first place. Or something.
A great movie, although I'm not sure if it could be watched on it's own. Thankfully The Terminator - (1984 movie) is a must-watch.

A man works to develop an artificial intelligence for a secret military robot soldier project.
With a dark, calm tone, this movie brushes up against all the right topics. It encourages strong empathy for artificial intelligence in a way rarely seen elsewhere, and I find it deeply moving. Very highly recommended.

A hacker screws around with a game company's server, causing an artificial intelligence to stir up the military.
Both quaint and awesome. It doesn't hold up over time, so it does have to be understood in the context of it's era. Still recommended if you're old enough to do so.

The misbehaving millionaire son of a lost father learns that his disappearance was in a digital world he authored but was trapped in after a coup from its inhabitants.
The uncanny valley of the main baddy / young version of the main character is terrible. What would have been amazing is if the effect were really really improved for the "true" version of the character, but kept uncanny for his copy, Clu.
However, the soundtrack, hell the audio, and the sheer scale of the movie is astonishing. I know others don't find this movie appealing, but I love it so damned much. I love it beyond the nostalgia of the original, but as an entirely separate movie.
Oh so very highly recommended.

A rich computer program pulls a race car driver into the future so he can date his ex girlfriend.
It's so damned 90s but I like it a lot.
