For some reason the Big Bad is waking up and some villagers are implicated in helping/hurting his/its/their/xur's plans to do something to the world, or something.

This show is lacking from so many directions. It's watchable, but irks me in ways I don't want to sit down and think about long enough or I'll get mad. You know what? I'm just going to start judging shows on if they have good looking women. Any, and if they are boss girls.

In future with a colonized galaxy, a mad scientist develops an evolving quantum computer which he believes proves determinism and prediction of the collapse of civilization.

It started interesting, but dove into too many plotlines, timelines, and characters, and then space-wizards. I find it predictable and tedious, and I'm constantly nagged at there being zero good looking women, just passable persons of pigment hired for The Message.

The Nevers - (2021 show) image

An unknown event gave alternate-past Victorian Londoners a random superpower, and their numbers became pronounced enough to attract the attention of worried politicians. Or something.

Really interesting! I guess it's worth watching, but it slide sideways and got too strange to follow. It really needed more seasons to figure it's shit out, but the woke brigade MeToo-dogpiled Joss Whedon without evidence so he got shunned.

  • Abandoned - Drama

War of the Worlds - (2019 show) image

Aliens wipe out most of humanity for some reason, then they choose to not wipe out the rest of humanity for some reason, then stragglers struggle to survive and such.

Really really awkward writing. There is so much that makes no sense whatsoever, even in the context of the show itself. It has snippets of potential but it's overall torturous for anyone who tends to pay attention; not recommended.

Synthetic humans are created, but once again philosophers weren't involved, and when some present intelligence and emotion they take umbrage at being slaves.

Adequate, but neither revelatory nor particularly interesting. Not particularly recommended except for people who like the general topic (which is why I made a tag for it).

Colonists from a ruined Earth struggle to survive on a distant world.

I don't like the characters, and it's boring..

  • Abandoned - Only one season was produced.

A woman witnesses and participates in things she becomes a person of interest for.

Although not immediately spectacular, it gets good enough.

  • Inspired by The Peripheral - (2014 book), by William Gibson
  • Although it was picked up for another season, it was killed due to various strikes.

A miniseries told around the Soviet Chernobyl disaster.

A tense, decently-paced look at how communist lies spell disaster, and how communism once again cost tens of thousands and almost tens of millions of lives.
