A boy-genius is brought into an elite university to work on a laser project with a genius-misfit, but after its spectacular success they learn of its nefarious purpose.

While old, it holds up perfectly. A great movie, with a bunch of laugh-out-loud moments. Unlike the "frat boy" movies which are all about booze and boobs, this one shows genius with its hacker spirit.

An archaeologist seeks an ancient Egyptian amulet to gain godlike powers.

A great fan film. I wish I had a better source than the 240p on YouTube, but I didn't actually look around at all.

Hitler is pulled into his future, and being able to do nothing but be himself, he is taken to be a comedian.

I know this is meant as a comedy, but.. it's just off. It's worth a watch, but just the one. It touches on quite a lot of .. well touchy subjects. Perhaps this movie will greatly improve in time, while things aren't so sensitive.

The apocalypse happens, and a bunch of average celebrities try to survive.

Moderately terrible. Worth a watch if you like these particular actors and their previous works.

Absolutely Anything (2015) post

trailer

To judge the Earth, aliens grant a single man the power of wishing, but he's an everyday guy and has no idea how to handle it.

A moderately good movie, with solid comedy throughout it. I only really care about it because of its subject matter and the way it handles it. Strangely, he grants himself wisdom early on but never clues into using it to give him proper understanding of it and how to use it. That's the major theme of the movie, and the source of its comedy.

Every time the beautiful Regina rejects his advances, James pushes a red button and tries again, all the while unaware of the reality and consequences of his actions.

Directed by Devon Avery.

Short and funny.

Aeon Flux (2005) poster

A comedic commentary of Aeon Flux (2005).

Although amusing and with a few laugh-out-loud moments, this is mostly a waste of time. The RiffTrax concept might be nice for either fans or haters of a film, but this RiffTrax of this movie was not particularly entertaining to me. I'll likely get into other RiffTrax's later, so perhaps my opinion will change, but for now I don't recommend this.

  • Michael J. Nelson and Kevin Murphy
  • Copyright 2006. I'm not sure why it's copyright 2006 but was released in 2007.

The Lone Ranger (2013) poster

A child with an allergy to peanuts hallucinates an indian statue as Tonto telling him a story with the Lone Ranger.

Johnny Depp has started taking terrible cornball roles, and this movie is a steaming pile of shit. His native-American character feels cringeworthingly blackface-esque. I can see how the occasional comedic bit can make a movie fun, but the entire spirit of this movie feels just a touch too serious for there to be the right comedy-adventure feeling like that in Pirates of the Caribbean.

A mockumentary about four vampire flatmates in New Zealand.

Bad. This is supposed to be comedy. I'm not laughing. From what little I saw, I doubt it will get any better.
