A cute fixed-but-moving camera spell casting action game.

Has some hope, but ultimately has too many buttons and the gameplay is rough and annoying.

Path of Exile - (2013 game) reworked.

It's souls-like but with muddy graphics and no telegraphing for one-hit mechanics, so it's all luck. No skill variety.
Not recommended.

Ascention logo

A heavily-modified World of Warcraft 3.3.5 private server which removes the concept of classes, allowing the player to pick-and-choose abilities to create their own unique character. Another server has a random selection-and-choice concept which is very fun.

Has various challenge modes and the ability to rework a character back to level one for a reward.

While lacking some bits and pieces of convenience, it's really quite good. Has some expensive pay-to-win. It's ultimately not good because it has bonus experience available to all the players so there's no actual authentic world, it's just a bunch of overpowered characters smashing through everything; fail. Or play it single-player if you'd like..

I have nothing but positive things to say about this game. Except for the negative things.

I haven't done a proper review, and might bother some time later.

A fair tower defence game that really does come across as a mobile game ported to desktop. I got it free from Epic, which is the only thing making me not completely trash this thing.

Fair, with flaws.

  • Supports ultrawide in so far as it paints a design outside of its normal widescreen aspect ratio.

Aliens come to ruin an already-ruined earth.. which also already has aliens.

Quite an excellent game.

A MOBA which also has good bots.

Like all the other "safe" games Blizzard has created, Heroes of the Storm is an accessible MOBA (Multiplayer online battle arena) game. It's pretty, plays well, and os reasonably fun. It has excellent bots to beat up for a chill game. Voice support makes it great.

I play a bunch of it, and like it. I don't PvP. The versus AI started out being really boring but improved a lot over time.

  • aka HOTS
  • abandoned - It's officially on life support
  • Full ultrawide support, even in windowed fullscreen. It's a big difference.

A MMO whose defining qualities are its maturity, user base and low system-requirements.

Recently focusing entirely on endgame, to the detriment of all earlier content. Instead of improving the game in measurable ways, its developers use desperate psychology to string along its user base. DO NOT PLAY unless you're already playing. Then DO NOT STOP.

Once anything comes along that's decent, haul ass and bring everyone with you. Consider, for example, Guild Wars 2 - (2012 game).
