Ångström was started by a small group of people who worked on the OpenEmbedded, OpenZaurus and OpenSimpad projects to unify their effort to make a stable and user-friendly distribution for embedded devices like handhelds, set top boxes and network-attached storage devices and more.
- Has roots in the discontinued QiLinux project.
2015-05-11 - There is no documentation.
- ZoMg CaMeLcAsE NaMe
2016-03-31 - With their last release being 2014-05-19, I'm flagging this as abandoned.
- The previous release (4.0) was 2012-04-10
2015-05-15 - No instructions to getting this on a USB stick. When I do get one to boot, it cannot get past the USB bootloader.
2015-05-08 - "Simplicity over automation" fails this distro. While it's easier for the developers, it's a nightmare for documentation/tutorials and the user. I'd really hate having to deal with this philosophy.
Made by Red Hat
Properly known as Debian GNU/Linux

2015-05-07 - Bootloader installation wasn't automagical.
- 2016-11-07 - What the fuck, this doesn't even do ext4?!
2015-05-14 - When I boot into it, I don't even know that I'm looking at. It's too simple. This is supposed to be a liveUSB but there's nothing there.
