When a guy somehow marries a corpse, he learns his town has an alternate reality where its dead reside

It's kinda pointless.

During a zombie apocalypse, a guy with a past gets selected for his skills to pursue a cure.

Pretty good all around. I like the realism.

A quirky young woman crushes on a weird artsy guy.

This is quirkier than it's characters, and is worthy of earning seventeen times its budget.

  • Original title: Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

Researchers of a small particle accelerator discover that a particle can be sent back in time, and they theorize that it can be used like a gun to kill people in the past and change the present.

While it's a good idea, it feels pretty low effort.

John Wick returns to alternately ruin and end his friends lives in the hopes of leveraging an obscure rule to free himself from .. whatever their assassins society is called.

It's adequate, but has nowhere near equality: I think one unimportant woman dies on-screen and then the body vanishes, another gets hurt, and this has to be the most brutally misandrist movie I've ever seen. Feminist approved!

A father, faced with "equality", is mistreated by family court and resorts to cross-dressing to get closer to his children by his overworking ex.

A great movie, full of great voicework and second-hand embarrassment.

A lawyer can't lie, and goes insane because it's Jim Carrey.

It's Jim Carrey as himself, so you have to cope with the idiocy. It's okay in that context but it's not for me.

A hacker learns reality is not as it appears.

A sci-fi ripoff of elements of Lucid dreaming, with elements taken from the Neuromancer/Shadowrun "cyberpunk" genres.

A pioneering movie for special effects, which have held up quite well, and its general pot and atmosphere. Technically not original for science fiction fans, but great nonetheless.

One of my favourites, although I really wish the actor playing Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) was good looking.
