A multiplayer, text, third-person shooter originally made for DOS, but I know it from Novell Netware.

I had a hell of a lot of fun with it. Perhaps it's nostalgia which makes me stay so fond of it, but I think the fundamental gameplay still holds up today. I could easily imagine a great updated version of this but I have and still do see this same gameplay in all sorts of other top-down games.

A top-down shooter game which uses music to generate levels.

Absolutely fantastic! HOWEVER progress is not auto-saved! Who the fuck makes a game where you can abandon everything you've played just by pressing a button too many times?!

I'm not sure how to describe this game. It's an oldschool oldschool point-and-click game.

I think I would have liked this back in the day, but these days I find a bunch of the mechanics and gameplay too frustrating to deal with.

A tower defence game with space ships.

I didn't play a whole lot of this, because the novelty wore off with the first one. However, it looks like this is more of the same: Highly customizable and extremely fun, but with poor replayability. Worth a bit of coin if you're a fan of tower defence games.

I was able to utterly blow away the first two practice missions. It does look like it gets a lot harder. I think maybe this isn't really for me right now or perhaps isn't my thing any more. I think I would like this game a moderate amount if I spent more time with it.

Playing a few hours in, the UI is really annoying. That alone makes this game extraordinarily hard. I hate having to fight the game itself to figure all my shit out. I'm giving this a pass.

Like its predecessor, bonus points for the author throwing away all sense of storyline. Fuck all that shit, I just want gameplay. I'm not joking.

A roguelike game with a tactical side to it.

I like it, but only played a little of it as this sort of game doesn't seem to grab me any more. Definitely recommended for fans of this style of game. Don't be put off by its graphics. Like a good book, the pictures are in your head.

I didn't take notes from back then. All I have are some saved fleets. Some of the game gets extremely hard, especially with technology restrictions. I fucking hate having those restrictions. This was a big downer to playing all the way through.

Bonus points for the author throwing away all sense of storyline. Fuck all that shit, I just want gameplay. I'm not joking.

I can't describe it without spoiling it's best part.

I happen to like boring 8-bit games, so the initial moments of this game are just fine for me. I stuck it out, because I knew a little bit about what was to come. Even though I saw it coming, I was really moved by the introduction to "the game proper". Holy shit.

Great game, I think.. but I just don't get it. Treasure maps make no sense. Secrets are nigh impossible. The world map is hopeless. I gave it a good shot, based on old hype, but no joy.

A Connect Four-like game, with some goofyness akin to the various Tetris remakes.

Boring as sin. The free flash game from a decade ago is the exact same thing.
