A P2P daemon, which requires a network protocol such as openFT or gnutella. Any number of frontends are also recommended.

So far, giFT has proved to do what it is made for. Most problems will appear to me to be the fault of the frontend, but there may well need to be certain features inserted into either the openFT protocol, the giFT daemon or the frontend.. it's difficult to say.

  • The software hasn't had an update since 07 May 2005!

A peer-to-peer file sharing program which instead lets you subscribe to people to get files in a "sink-discovery" system.

Had a lot of potential, and is significantly better than other systems and programs. Was stillborn.
