This is an easier, faster-to-make and maybe even cheaper alternative to the recipe for date squares. Using three times the dates and no sugar or butter, this would also make for a good breakfast bar.

Date squares are a simple starter recipe which require little knowledge, few tools, few and cheap ingredients and very little bravery.

WARNING - This is very sweet! So much so, that I'm thinking my next batches will have half the sugar or less.
