An idle game with characters and equipment. I guess.

Designed to ruin your eyesight? Might have potential if I could actually keep progression. My first of this sort, but it still seems like shit.

A non-profit World of Warcraft private server for the purpose of testing and improving the open source AzerothCore.

A heavily-modified World of Warcraft 3.3.5 private server which removes the concept of classes, allowing the player to pick-and-choose abilities to create their own unique character. Another server has a random selection-and-choice concept which is very fun.

Has various challenge modes and the ability to rework a character back to level one for a reward.

While lacking some bits and pieces of convenience, it's really quite good. Has some expensive pay-to-win. It's ultimately not good because it has bonus experience available to all the players so there's no actual authentic world, it's just a bunch of overpowered characters smashing through everything; fail. Or play it single-player if you'd like..

A somewhat open world semi-rpg action adventure game.

I can see the appeal from back in the day, but it's pretty awkward now. Figuring out a fuckload of mods is mandatory, and even though that community has been going very very strong for a long time it's fucking hard to do so.

Baldur's Gate 3 - (2023 game) logo 2

Roam around harassing NPCs and accidentally-clicking in combat.

It has some really obvious and fundamental flaws that make it just terrible to cope with. I feel like I have to struggle against its design. The abilities are buckshot across the interface, the inventory is a hot mess, and combat is awkward and unforgiving. The dialog trees are kind of stupid most of the time, and player customization isn't particularly present, which is strange for a roleplaying game. I can only see that this has appeal because there have been no decent AAA games lately, and their variety is absolute shit.

A top-down strategy game.

I dunno, it's slow and awkward and has more talking than playing. Maybe I'd just have to wade through for much more time before the real game happens, but I'm not going to give it that chance. A game should be fun immediately.
