Todo - as-yet untested
This concept and these notes are entirely obsoleted by dm-crypt, if you want a complete encryption solution.
These notes were made from instructions from Slackware as of Slackware 14.2 64bit.
It's remarkably simple.

Rogue Class is a toy Linux distribution for playing games and reading books.
2015-05-11 - Just doesn't do it for me. Too simple, no liveUSB, (requires?) burning to a CD. I have no clue if it can use Slackware packages. I guess everything has to be compiled from scratch, which I don't want to do.

A Puppy Linux for- thing, built using woof-CE. Built from Slackware.
Since Puppy Linux uses systemd, I might presume this does too. However, Slacko is built from Slackware using Puppy's build system.

The oldest extant distribution, Slackware focuses on a sort of straightforwardness. It's not "light" or "easy", it is what it is. It's not cripplingly-difficult like Gentoo or Arch Linux. Using it is a little taxing on the mind, but doesn't actually require a whole lot of deep understanding. It's install was straightforward.
Using it, I feel "closer" to my computer.
