The use and disarming of weapons, and improvised weapons
The use of a weapon is extremely useful as an aid to "honest work". One might develop too much "trust" in a person. However, one is far more likely to react naturally against a knife or stick, even if it's used in slow-sparring. A weapon is unemotional, and one cannot pretend with it the same way as with permission work and a "friendly" hand or foot.
Regarding weapons, clothing, people, terrain and general environment.
In training, it's often better to try something than just stand there. Light-hearted experimentation often surprises. It's not about panic and speed either.
