2014-06-20 email to them ∞
I responded to a welcome mail, but perhaps this form is better to use. I’ll add some more to my message here.
These are some first impressions. I’m not a recent user, but I recently signed up and went premium. I comment because I care. =)

Bug: When clicking the contact support link, and being sent to this page, the email address is not correctly filled-out. It omits the + character from an email address – which is valid for gmail.
-
I tried out the private room spying feature, and it started knocking off 1 token a second. A warning would have been nice. 10 cents a second..
-
In the right-hand personal menu, there is no feature to collapse the bottom-most item. (models you may like / recently visited rooms / most popular rooms)
-
In the right-hand personal menu, the online friends list doesn’t seem to appropriately update. I don’t see a way to force-update. Refreshing the page seems to have fixed this..
-
Is there a feature to go anonymous? I’d like to have the advantages of being logged-in (friends list to know who is online, saved settings) and to be able to surf around without models trying to chat with me. I feel really bad about looking in on models and leaving, or about switching back and forth between multiple models. A delay before appearing in the user’s list would be nice, so I can peek in and leave without looking like an ass. (20 seconds?)

I sort the model list by newest logged in. However, your model list puts the newest logged in at the top. I’m scrolling through the list down from oldest up to the newest, and the list keeps getting shoved down as new entries are prepended. This is jarring. It’s very difficult to figure out where I left off.
- Implement reverse-sorting.
-
When appending to the bottom of the model list, put new entries on their own line, and place a horizontal rule between the old list and the new list.
Consider functionality similar to most IRC clients, where the horizontal rule disappears when the user scrolls down to the bottom.
-
The right-hand personal menu’s online friends list is rather ugly and awkward.
- Remove all current icons. Having icons to the right is terribly ugly.
- Remove all colour from the names. This isn’t myspace.
- Clicking a name should go to that room, not open a popup.
- To the left of each name, place a simple arrow icon, clicking it will give the popup menu.
- Have a feature to sort this list by when they’ve logged in. I see a quick note at the top of a model being logged in, but I barely miss it and can’t figure out how my friends list has changed. If you don’t want to implement that sort, then consider a highlight for recently-logged, dim it down a little after 30s, then make it normal after 1m.

Migrating from a series of bookmarks into your friends list concept was annoying. I had to:
- Cut-paste the bookmarks into a text file.
- Search/replace to normalize all links into just the model name.
- Cut-paste each model name into the friends list. I’m glad you have such a straightforward form.
I know it’s a dream, but it would be awesome if there were a way to copy-paste bookmarks straight into one webform.
Example links:
https://www.myfreecams.com/#MODEL
https://profiles.myfreecams.com/MODEL
Ignore lines with -------------------- .. those represent separators, on Firefox.
Other browsers may paste different content, but the idea is straightforward. This is the sort of thing that encourages a user from being anonymous+bookmarks to being a member+friends, which is just another step toward premium.
-
I’d like an easy way to view a non-room. I don’t like idling in a model’s room while I’m not there. It’s too annoying to scroll down and find the lounge. Even the lounge has a video feed, which I don’t really want. I could close the tab altogether, but loading the tab is slow and annoying on Firefox/Linux, because of heavy JavaScript use.
-
In the bottom model list, there is a “Chat” link. Why? Clicking either their name or their portrait takes a person to that room.
-
In the bottom model list, there is a “PM” link. Again, why? Do people look through the list and randomly pm someone? That functionality is already in the menu.
-
I’d like to be able to review the bottom list of models more easily. However, there is no easy way to hide models which I don’t like. What I’d like is a little ‘x’ at the bottom-right. This probably isn’t for regular users though, so perhaps a preference to enable this.
-
In the bottom model list, the menu for a model has “hide model” and “ignore user”. (x) is next to them, and only the x is clicable. That’s a tiny little area to click, and this style is not used anywhere else. Just make the text a link.

Oh god, please tell me that mangled mess wasn’t sent to you in the way I was shown it. If that’s the case, I can email you directly.
The formatting given in the form ought to be preserved in the page the user is shown after sending their message.
