Simple Openbox themerc

A trivially-simple theme for Openbox.

This theme was designed to be as simplistic as possible. It relies on as few options as possible and tries to be consistent.

It uses only a few colours, so customizing colours is as trivial as search-and-replacing these names:

menu.items.disabled.text.color should be the only gotcha, if you want to change grey.

This file is ~/.themes/minimal-spiralofhope/openbox-3/themerc

Select this style with obconf

I combine editing this file, with an entry in my ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml with:

<keybind key="A-F5">
  <action name="Reconfigure"/>
</keybind>

Now I can goof around and press alt-f5 to see things live.

You could also edit this file, and then manually do openbox --reconfigure to load any changes.

Note that I take the xbm files from Openbox 3.5.2’s “Bear2” theme.
