  • completely remove all reliance on the curse updater and website.

  • Does DBM’s warning replace BanzaiAlert? Can I change that damned sound?

  • Add the vendor sale price back to the tooltips.

  • Remove the auction/sell/whatever “24hr deposit” line from my tooltips. Where the hwll are they coming from?

  • Better macros for seducing.

  • find something that does healthstone-monitoring so I can know when to make more and who to give them to.

  • A better-managed friends list

  • A better history of grouping

  • automatically abandon quests you fail

    • and report it in the chat window..

  • when you abandon a quest, it should say it in the chat log.

To research:

  • MetaMap

    • obsoletes MapNotes, maybe. I can’t figure out how to import mapnotes.
    • obsoletes FlightMap (or Fubar_Tofu), maybe.

    • Has a fair waypoint arrow.

  • Enchantrix can auto-disenchant. Hmm.

  • Figure out the various auto-auctioning features.

healer ∞

HealPoints is a healer benchmark addon similar to TankPoints for tanks. It is designed to make it easier for healers to choose the most optimal gear, for example balancing spirit, +mana/5s, +healing and intelligence.

It displays all your relevant basic stats as well as HP/sec, HP/mana etc. for all your healing spells. It also displays a few more advanced benchmarks: PowerPoints (focused on healing output over a short period) and EndurancePoints (focused on healing output over a long period). HealPoints detects and supports all relevant talents and almost all set and equip bonuses.

HealPoints contains a calculator that lets you manipulate the basic stats and see how they affect your spells and overall healing efficiency. See the supplied Readme.txt for more details.

Also grab Xperl Unit frames, there is an option in it for healers that you can see how much life your target is down, and it highlights who has agro,so you know where to heal next.

If you want to “reset” the position, you must delete the file you find in

<wowfolder>\WTF\Account\<accountname>\SavedVariables\ESTrack.lua

In order to “show” it, you need to toggle “autotoggle” first. So you login:

/estrack autotoggle
/estrack show
/estrack resetwindow

Should show the thing in the middle

note to self: would need more experimentation to get it working.

This’ll replace:

  • {{Ace}} lootdb

  • Gryphonheart Subguilds — Allows the idea of a “sub-guild” for better organization of particular groups within a guild.

  • GuildAds — tracks alts, tradeskills, items for sale, etc. Looks interesting.

  • {{Ace}} Taintchecker — might replace bugsack, I’m not sure..

  • Mendeleev — Adds more info to item tooltips..

  • Pally Power — for Paladin buffing

  • MobMap — A database of mob positions. Even integrates with the quest log. Neat.

  • PerfectRaid /praid — Another of Cladhaire’s nice addons. It’s beta right now but would be worth checking out once it stabilizes.

  • Routes — Routes for mining and herbalism, etc. =)

    • I haven’t really figured out how to use this.

  • {{Ace}} IHML for swapping out macros for boss fights and such. Might be handy.

  • {{Ace}} Mobnotes (thread) — notes to mob tooltips, would be very handy to list some useful facts like CC-immune and such.

  • {{Ace}} MobSpells (thread) — Automatically sniffs the abilities of mobs and puts them into a tooltip.

  • OnScreen — Disable some things when in combat

    • The author uses it the way I would — disable the minimap in combat, and then show Omen there.

  • Stackpack — Inventory auto-stacker.

  • {{Ace}} AckisRecipeList — An addon which will scan your trade skill recipes and print out a list of which recipes you are currently missing. It will work for all tradeskills including Rogue Poisons and Hunter Beast Training.

    • not sure about it.

  • ProfessionsBook — For buying recipes on auction and knowing which of your alts has it or can learn it.

    • It should work with AuctioneerAdvanced.. sweet!

  • PetEmote

  • Burning Muffin Emotes — Adds more emotes.

  • Posessions — Helps find equipment on multiple characters.

    • Doesn’t support guild banks (yet?)
    • I think that /ar will help this.

    • (A good bag addon will do this)

  • SpitFilter — Filters out /spit

    • need to be made flexible to remove other stuff like /rude.

  • Polite Whisper would be good for searching for more party members, but only if I never used its canned responses. Unfortunately, the author doesn’t allow customization so I’d have to hack the source to modify things. Not hard, but annoying enough that I might never do this.

  • AuraMap – shows auras on the minimap.. I think.

  • WUU (wiki) — (Wow UI Updater) might be cool..

    • not updated recently enough for my liking. Otherwise it would be amazing.
    • might be fairly cool, but it’s not nearly automated enough. Also requires an SVN client to do the Ace updating. Blah. I can’t deal with it..
