- Navigate to a folder

There is no equivalent on macOS’ Finder.

- Open a Finder window
- Navigate to a folder
- With Spotlight (
command-space) runTextEdit.app - (Preferences) > New Document > Format: (o) Plain text
- Save
- (put the text file anywhere)
- Hover your mouse at the top-middle, at the title of the app. It might say
Untitled.txt - Wait a moment and there will be an icon to the left.
