An fast, moderate-sized and extraordinarily cheap drive.
Refurbished, but these seem to be in good shape. Don't expect the intel manufacturer's warranty to have much, if any, time left. You're leaning on newegg, and then perhaps your credit card's insurance policy, if it has one.
Notes ∞
One reviewer said: smartctl --all /dev/sdx
to check the remaining life on these drives. Look at the normalized value of "Media Wearout Indicator" parameter. It is a percentage value of the life remaining. For example, on the one drive that I tested, it was at 97, meaning that the SSD has 97% life remaining.

[INVALID] Locked drive ∞
I was unable to properly use the drive. A copy would just get "stuck". So I went to the Intel SSD Toolbox to try its secure erase.
However, it says Secure erase cannot be run on the selected drive because it is not a supported feature under Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.
Seagate's SeaTools says "Security Mode: Supported, Frozen"
What to Do if Your Intel® SSD Detects a Security Freeze Lock
Removing and replacing the power cable does not do anything. This is a DOA drive.
cd C:\isdct isdct show -intelssd
No results
---
(source)
If the Security Freeze Lock message continues to display, Intel recommends getting a drive utility with Secure Erase and running Secure Erase from that utility.

Unable to Run Secure Erase on Intel® SSD Toolbox

Well, shit. ∞
It turns out that my copying issue was because I was using Windows 10 symlinks which had things stick during the calculation.
It's working just fine. Sigh.

Somebody is trying to sales me the same ssd but apparently it's locked by password, so my question would be there is a way to reset the ssd to make it work like it was in the first time? doesn't matter lose data...
Hi Roman,
The knowledge I posted under "Locked Drive" is all I have. I linked to some very good documents, like:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006094/memory-and-storage.html
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006312/memory-and-storage.html
Perhaps those will help.
I hate when companies abandon their software then withdraw it from public downloading.
Maybe I want that old program for my old drive and old operating system. Maybe it'll work just fine.
