The service menu (D+M)
Backup ∞
You can insert either an CF or an SD card. If you insert both, the CF card will be used.
The format of the storage card must be FAT16.
My backup file was 132MB.
- Enter the service menu (
D+M) - Go to SERVICE(3/3) —
cursor-righttwice. - Cursor to option 2:
BACKUP RESTORE MENUand pressOK. -
Cursor to option 2:
NAND Flash Back Upand pressOK.
It will check the device and tell you how much free space is left.
- You may cancel the operation by pressing
Canceltwice. -
You may proceed by pressing
OK.
A progress bar is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Be patient, because it is making a large file. =) The backup can easily take 10 minutes or more.
When the backup is complete, it will say OK. Press Cancel to return to the menu.
Restore ∞
For me, the backup file is called systc100.dbk

SYSTC100.DBK, just pressOK. - It will ask to delete all flash data, just press
OK. - It says
Restore.... Just wait while a green progress bar appears at the bottom. -
Wait for it to say
OK.
Troubleshooting ∞
(unsolved) Never finds SYSTC100.DBK ∞
(no clue)
Erasing the memory didn’t work.

double-check that the CF or SD card is formatted FAT16.
