Hmm, I don’t understand it.. but scsi emulation is magically working. I cite magic because I wasn’t actually trying to get it working.. it just started. Hrm. Note to self: /dev/sr0 is automatically configured.. for reasons unknown. (This was Slackware probably 7 or 8)
rm /dev/cdrom ln -s /dev/sr0 /dev/cdrom
/dev/cdrom is normally a symbolic link to /dev/hdd, or whatever IDE device the CDROM is (HDD is the secondary IDE, master device).
