Dutch Kills – (2005 movie)

With his sister in trouble with the local semi-mob, a man works to pay off her debts but gets in too deep.

It’s generally slow and brooding, doesn’t get to the point and has an unsatisfying ending. Not recommended.

8:00 — I don’t understand. If his sister is in the guy’s pocket, why would he have a problem?
So is this some sort of flashback movie?
12:50 — That’s sexist. She’s a strong woman who doesn’t need no man to take care of her.
13:05 — .. but look at her reaction to him. As though women encourage these sorts of actions from men. Internalized something or other.
- I didn’t realise she was his neighbour.

41:40 — Oh, that’s Peta Wilson, who I recognize from La Femme Nikita.
47:25 — She reminds me of Charisma Carpenter, who I know from Angel – (1999 show).
56:30 — Damn that’s one evil cop.
1:02:45 — Does this actually happen?
1:06:10 — I like that dude’s thinking.
1:09:30 — Creepy wall of skulls. Very The Terminator-esque.
1:20:20 — So this whole movie was a flashback to this point.
1:26:00 — I do like this guy, but I would get a cab across the city, buy new bags, get a hotel, check the money by hand, possibly moving to a new location, then buy new clothes.
- But visiting an old friend is cool too. I presume that’s his kid though.
