A murderer is saved from death only to be used in an experiment to explore his ancestry.

It's an awkward combination of slowness with action. I suspect it could have been quite good, as it has the elements for it.. but the writing is shit in enough significant places that it can't recover. It has an abysmal resolution, making the whole experience regrettable.

In a world ruined by an alien invasion and terraforming, an ex-military turned scavenger and his alien adopted daughter take refuge in one of the few reasonable settlements: Defiance.

Although it has elements I like, it doesn't have anything that actually grabs me. In a world where there is so much else of better quality, this is not recommended. There are a couple of characters who are really well acted, but again.. it's not worth the trouble.

A series of unrelated voiceless-shorts, sort of sometimes stitched together with the theme of robots.

Fairly terrible. It comes across as a set of student efforts. I wouldn't have been impressed even then.

A pretty princess turned-warrior leaves paradise to hunt the god of war during World War II.

It's got a slow pace, good mood and is not your usual superhero flick. The pretty girl really makes this movie, even making up for the ugly male lead.
