The Chronicles of Narnia cover

Some kids are given Lantern rings for transporting around.

I read a decent ways in before getting bored. The combination of language (English-age) and language (audience-age) made it tiring. It's definitely a book to be read aloud to a 10 year old girl, and I respect that. I'd, even, be the one to do the reading aloud.. but not the listening.

This is a seven volume unabridge compilation, presented in the author's intended reading order.

Some superheroes are assembled, wielding the power of deus ex machnica, and and defeat bad guys that make no sense.

A bad movie, only made passable by Gal Gadot being so ridiculously good looking I lack the words to word about her looks.

I could only get through the first chapter before setting this down. It has flowery awkward old English which I will avoid from now on.

Its first impression is that it's sort of Star Trek parody-thing, it quickly unfolds into its own unique space-adventure-drama.

Fantastic originality and mood. Recommended, rapidly approaching highly recommended.

Like other shows these days, I became interested in this purely because "those people" "hate" it.

Much Ado About Nothing - (1623 play), by Shakespeare - Signet Classic image

An man works to undermine his brother's happiness by meddling with his son's marriage. Also two smart people dual with words.

A pretty good book, though my reading of the Signet Classic was seriously interrupted by footnotes. Not because of the shifting up/down to read them, but because the footnotes are crammed all together. Given that this book is 1/4 commentary, axing one for clearer footnotes would have been amazing. Maybe another edition will be better. I intend to collect many of this particular play.

Conan the Barbarian - (1982 movie) poster

With the power of Nietzsche, a barbarian-turned-warrior seeks revenge on those who killed his people.

I love it, but I'm biased because of this movie's significant influence on my early self.

Being "from back in the day", this movie is unashamedly-specific about its audience.

More recent sword-and-sorcery movies are watered-down to broaden their audience. Think The Lord of the Rings, which is a phenomenal movie in its own right, but its stark contrast has pushed movies like this one into a "classic" sub-genre. To fans of the recent movies, this one will seem crude.

For fans of the classic style, I'm confident in strongly recommending this. I think it stands out as good, and won't need to be considered "good, but only because of its historical significance".

An ex-commando's daughter is kidnapped in a ploy to have him help overthrow a foreign government, but this single father will instead fight to rescue her.

This is a movie that gets to the god damned point. It's full of tension and action, and every other line is memorable. It holds up exceptionally well, only being unsurprisingly limited by the lack of mobile phones in 1985.

I really hope you like steel drums.

A quirky and grating writer finds himself pulled into the lives of ordinary people.

A really great, well-rounded, unique movie, especially for guys, as it has a single moment of clarity that will help them understand women.
