Women seem to have no equivalent to the standard male rules of escalation. (See Male passions)
Where most men in most subcultures share stages of escalation, women ignore it entirely. For example, a woman can skip from receiving angry words straight to crippling. This is especially true when a woman is taking advantage of a man and both his rules of escalation and rules for treating a woman better than himself.
The woman doesn’t like how a man looks at her, she can assault him. A slap is an assault.
A woman can go from trading angry words to crippling him. A knee to the groin is a crippling assault, possibly leading to permanent damage and unending pain.
Not only is this completely disregarding the moral sanity of the standard male rules of escalation, it is entirely supported by observers. Not only will nobody step in to restrain a rabid woman, men will step in to fight for her.
A woman who ignores steps of escalation and assaults a man should be charged.
Part of the diminished self-control for combat is society supporting their lack of accountability.
