For UTF8 support, edit /etc/profile.d/lang.sh and uncomment:

export LANG=en_US.UTF-8

Log out/in and it’ll be fixed. SpaceFM and urxvt both work as-expected.

Why is sda7 now ext4, when I selected Btrfs during installation?
TODO – My display does not turn on after my system wakes up from pm-suspend. My keyboard numlock works for a moment, then locks up. Tapping the power button does not poweroff the computer as it normally would. I have to hold the power button to force the system to turn off.

I can’t even pkgtool --help

I tried reinstalling pkgtool but that didn’t work.
I followed Updating Slackware, and doing some \slackpkg reinstall PACKAGENAME
\slackpkg install-new had a lot of things to install.. but doing so changed nothing.
- An in fact revealed an annoyance where the initial installation’s groups-choices were remembered and were reinstalled.
I tried slpkg -c slack --upgrade which had two packages which I had previously uninstalled..
- XScreenSaver
- mozilla-thunderbird
slpkg health gave me 100%
I removed xscreensaver and mozilla-thunderbird (with removepkg)

well shit, I was supposed to be using slackpkg.. whoops

pkgtool > Setup — Allows one to re-run the various things which were presented when initially installing Slackware.
