A poor village is robbed, and a young man sets out to retrieve the village’s most prized possession.
Quite good and holds up well. In context there were very few movies of this grit out at the time, and it really made waves.

- aka Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior
- If you want to set down this path, check out /tag/tony-jaa and The Raid – (2011 movie) (with all the recommendations therein).

Note that Ong Bak 2 – (2008 movie) is not a sequel. There is no sequel, and I’m not trying to be funny about this. It literally is not a sequel or related in any way.

Has it really been this long? This is gonna be great.
- 3:00 — This tree-climbing thing is fictional.
- 1:00:45 — That’s a poster of Spy Game – (2001 movie)
- 1:19:00 — So why the hell does that one guy keep his helmet on?
- 1:21:00 — That one guy’s awkward sounds are way too loud.
- 1:23:00 — I’m pleased that one guy got back up. He was basically knocked down and just stayed there for no reason..
- 1:27:15 — It would have been awesome to bring back all of the original pit fighters as lackeys so we can see them again. I recognize at least the one fighter and love him in other movies.
- 1:28:45 — Explain his ability to block a saw..
- 1:31:45 — I still hate the style where awesome moments are repeated from a second angle. It’s just so lame.
-
1:37:30 — Well wasn’t she fashionably late. I guess she couldn’t be there because then a woman would get hurt.
I guess one woman got hurt by drugs..
