Probably the best mouse ever made, whose style has never been matched.

The fact that it has a unique style makes it unfortunate and impossible to replace.

I bought two of these from an eBay store. They were probably a dealer of products made in a Chinese shadow factory. The first one died almost immediately, but the second has been going strong.

I hate thinking that I need to buy a lifetime supply of something, because there is no alternative.

This is my mouse of choice.

• The shape is perfect for my clawed-hand use.

• B4 (“back”) and B5 (“forward”) are on the left and right of the mouse.

  • The buttons on the left and right are hard to find for some mice, but this one has them placed in such a way that I can actually click them. This is something that the Microsoft SideWinder X3 lacks.
  • I need B5 on the right, and in just the right place.
• If it intermittently disconnects or stops working, the cable may have been damaged. It’s bent rather harshly just after it enters the mouse. This is a faulty design or is planned obsolescence.

• scroll – Having used other mice, I can say that the harsh click and relative difficulty of moving the mx-310 scroll wheel makes it far superior for fine control.
