A metal/rap-ish/"alternative" metal band, who I know from their very early days and still have pre-release songs from Xero and Hybrid Theory.
They were really great, but like their peers they slid downhill. I stopped caring about them many years ago.
Thoughts ∞
This is yet another example of my intuition and research skills driving me. When I first heard music by these guys, I went out and researched them a bit.. and found a whole lot of music by the earlier incarnations of groups which current members of Linkin Park were in. Hell, I found the original song demos and alternate lyrics and whatnot. Just awesome stuff.
I've heard that the group condones mp3 sharing of their music. Pushmeaway.com has quite a few downloadable mp3s. Thankfully the owner chose to re-rip things at higher quality, although it's certainly another one of those issues where the ripper isn't clueful enough to rip with quality in mind. cbr (constant bit rate) is pathetic and should be outlawed in deference to vbr (variable bit rate). I have some notes on that over on Linux audio ripping and encoding.

I love this music, although I'm not always in the mood to listen to it. It's nice that it all grooves along the same lines.
