Stargate SG-1 - (1997-2007 show) >
While the show begins sortof-interestingly and appears weak and even repetitive, it does get better. It didn't take too long for it to mature into a sort of theme or consistency.
s01e01 - 1997-07-27 - Children of the Gods (1) ∞ s01e02 - 1997-07-27 - Children of the Gods (2) ∞ This is a two-part mega-intro. I don't think it can be considered a pilot at all. Maybe some sort of TV-movie?
Spoiler Titles!
Overall it's kinda meh .
s01e03 - 1997-08-01 - The Enemy Within ∞
Spoiler 3:20 -- Personally my backup would be cement. A heap of it overtop. Maybe molten aluminium or something cool. I mean hot. 12:00 -- So I suppose Tilk knowing English will just be ignored.. 28:20 -- It's a very good attitude to sacrifice one man for that kind of information. In fact, that sort of stuff would be decided outside his group. He would have been swept away for "help" to remove him from his team, etc. 39:40 -- "You cannot pass." See also The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring - (2001 movie) (one in the series of movies) "You shall not pass!" 41:50 -- "So something of the host must survive.".. no, perhaps all of the memories get absorbed and included into the genetic memory.
s01e04 - 1997-08-08 - Emancipation ∞
Spoiler s01e05 - 1997-08-15 - The Broca Divide ∞
Spoiler 0:50 -- Why send an SG team when they should be sending a probe and then a serious military force? Isn't that where the enemy went? Isn't it realistic to assume it's occupied?
1:15 -- Oh, they sent a probe. Called it. 1:35 -- SG-3 marines. Yay. Sortof called it. 2:10 -- Night vision , Thermographic camera 2:20 -- Good question. Why doesn't the probe have a proper array of sensors? 3:40 -- If it's lights were broken going through, then.. wouldn't the light of the Stargate, as demonstrated right now, be decent enough to at least look at the immediate area, or at least at the gate and its control panel? 4:05 -- "Fan out"? Why whisper that when the stargate is loud and bright? 5:00 -- Firstly they took more than ten seconds to go through. Secondly why would gunfire scare them off when the staff weapon shooting didn't seem to bother them much? 6:45 -- Oh hey, now it looks like they have thermal imaging. You see the thing is.. that they would have easily been able to see their ambushers. Seeing as they're mammals. Warm-bodied and all that. 7:10 -- Homo sapiens , Supraorbital ridge , Homo erectus , Canine tooth , Australopithecus . 7:40 -- Survival of the fittest 8:00 -- Did he just roll backwards? 10:10 -- Minoan civilization 13:20 -- I wonder if a physical is required of anyone returning through the stargate. They could have a snake in them which would have access to their gate code. 13:45 -- He's more than a guest, he's their top advisor and a bloody team member. 13:55 -- No, it was not the perfect opportunity. The perfect opportunity would have proper experts in attendance to make meaningful sense of any of it. Jackson is not an expert on all things. 14:15 -- Paul Broca , "The Broka divide" 17:20 -- First appearance of x, the new doctor. 17:45 -- Those aren't isolation chambers, those are prison cells. They certainly won't do a damned thing against contagion. 18:20 -- Shouldn't that guy still be in restraints, and shouldn't all of them be sedated? 19:00 -- See, Jackson had to go on the internet to learn.. he knows jack shit. 20:40 -- So.. what explains the bone growth and all that? I guess this is the episodic suspension of disbelief. 22:25 -- Okay, they've been sedating them but it's wearing off fast. But why aren't they in restraints? Also, it's horrifying they would have to physically handle one of these plague victims.
22:40 -- Wouldn't he be bitey? 23:30 -- They also have a base self-destruct, which might be handy to have armed and set to go off unless reset .. say, every hour or so. That way if everyone goes insane then the base gets nuked. 24:25 -- Shouldn't they bring flares, grenades, and anything else that's loud and impressive? 25:45 -- Leprosy , Leper colony 26:15 -- Oh good, they gave Tylk a proper gun. I was worried about that. 29:25 -- Teryl Rothery is really pretty. 31:40 -- They are with heart. They banished them instead of executing them. 31:15 -- So if they have pull statues, then would there be bulls there? 34:20 -- Histamine 35:35 -- O'Neil does not have a clear head and does not have judgement. It's all the doctor's call. 36:30 -- "Lucy, I'm home!" is a quote from I Love Lucy . 38:05 -- All this time I've been waiting for a Light Side / Dark Side explanation. 38:50 -- Why? Why not tranq him? 39:55 -- Well.. what.. he was giving an order to put Jackson in "the isolation circle".. Tylk should not have been stopped. Unnecessary drama.
s01e06 - 1997-08-22 - The First Commandment ∞
Spoiler 1:20 -- Clueless Clucks Clams. Nice papier-mâché helmets. 2:00 -- Why is the other guy still not through the stargate? 4:10 -- SG-9 4:20 -- Why wouldn't this place "play an active roll in anyone's culture"? That makes no sense. 5:15 -- Didn't he make it back? 5:45 -- More than that is left after a body is burned.. it would have to be really hot to burn his bones to ash. 8:15 -- Why wouldn't the stargate be guarded, with manufactured huts or some such? I guess they really did stay very low-tech since they can't come out even in the shade. Which, by the way, was known and therefore the rest of the crew would be in proper gear for that.
Hell, I would have tried to bar the gate. My solution is always cement. 12:15 -- So they'll go to bed well within blow-dart range.. and within range of a lobbed uber-fire flask. 15:30 -- I was genuinely shocked by the sudden drum and tilk's appearance and hand. Why would they do that? 16:40 -- He was in a different position before the shot cut away to the closeup. 17:50 -- Again with everyone speaking English. 19:10 -- It occurs to me that SG-1 could pose as gods themselves. Perhaps better yet would be if they demonstrated they're all the same, and he's just one of them, and then started an uprising to bring down this false god. 20:45 -- He's trying to .. help them, by sacrificing them? 22:00 -- Standing right there in the open is a great way to be seen. 23:30 -- Bang. Roll credits.
How many would want to shoot their ex? 25:15 -- A terminator-smile. 29:45 -- What's that, a religious person being crazy? No way! 32:30 -- That's so obvious it's not entertaining. 33:45 -- If only he could, say, put his robe on the other guy to help disguise him a little and walk him out. Perhaps going in the direction of the guard they knocked out. 35:30 -- The thing is that he's talking so openly about sensitive things. These are being overheard by natives. Wouldn't rumours spread and persist? 36:40 -- The cement solution. Called it. 37:45 -- All this time he's ignoring the rest of their team. A team he knows has more people than the two he's seen so far. 40:40 -- Soo.. episode-introduction of her ex-husband and his death. 41:00 -- Yes, yes they should come back. 41:40 -- Thou shalt not kill
Except when when I tell you to, then it's okay. Also when I do it, it's okay then too. I'm god and I'm above my own rules. I am above hypocrisy. Somehow. It's a seriously magical power. Shut up and eat your bread. 42:00 -- Could a stone-aged civilization spanning just that valley develop into a spacefaring one?
s01e07 - 1997-08-29 - Cold Lazarus ∞
Spoiler
(
Lazarus of Bethany ?)
This episode wasn't properly finished. I hope it continues at least at some point.
s01e08 - 1997-09-12 - The Nox ∞
Spoiler 0:50 -- More than tens or even hundreds of light years away. 1:30 -- Finally, they're talking about techs. 2:20 -- Their only significant hope of fighting off an enemy force would be gathering intel and technology, and maybe even allies, using the stargate program. Or do they hope to invent everything on their own, in time, and have their encounter be their trial run. 3:15 -- Thankfully Tilk knows the stargate coordinates to this place. Presumably he was the one leading the expedition and opened the gate himself. 3:30 -- Why was he sent separately? 4:00 -- It seems like the thing she might have seen has gone through the stargate. 4:30 -- It's too bad they couldn't bring more specialists on board. In this case, actual hunters would come in handy. 6:10 -- The first thing I'd assume is that the invisible-thing is sitting on top of it making it invisible. 9:40 -- Why would he be out in the open? Why would she chase after him like that? Why would Tilk stand out in the open? 12:45 -- "Uh, hello. Do you speak English?" 14:15 -- They have an allergic reaction and die. Roll credits. 15:00 -- Remember that Jack's kid got shot, so he doesn't want other people to harm themselves. 16:20 -- Oh my god, I know that actor. 18:00 -- I wonder if they get their stomachs pumped every time they return. For science. 21:40 -- They're assuming Apophis knows where the stargate is and can get to it first. Also, I hope they still have their transmission gear to beam the iris-open code. 23:20 -- That guy's teeth remind me of Freddie Mercury 's. 24:00 -- Seeing as they have no idea how to make a bow, I think they're screwed. Punji sticks and spears would probably be better, but presumably they have good boots and reasonable armour. 29:00 -- If he uses the stargate, then Apophis can't reasonably get there to bomb the place. It's more likely he'd send people to enslave or kill them. 30:35 -- Wouldn't they have heard the prisoner shouting? 32:45 -- So therefore they are vulnerable during the ritual of life. So yes they are weak. 38:00 -- Except Jack already fired a dart at it and it didn't make it through. So a spear-thrust argument should be made. 40:50 -- How did they know how to send anyone through the stargate? I assume they've been watching it. However, the SG earth location has the iris, which means these guys just vaporized the team's guns. 43:00 -- So this entire mission was a bust, unless their stomach's get pumped. Maybe also if their boots get scraped. For science.
s01e09 - 1997-09-19 - Brief Candle ∞
Spoiler 0:30 -- Lit braziers, assume people nearby. 1:30 -- Midwife , Childbirth 2:00 -- Why would a village be too far? That place looks like a temple or some such. Those tend to not be too far from civilization. Oh, well maybe not. 3:00 -- Jack has at least had a kid, but it's handy that someone has insta-childbirth experience. 4:15 -- Messenia (ancient region) , Peloponnese , Greece 6:30 -- Now they're married. 7:15 -- Pelops 9:20 -- Okay Captain Kirk, you shouldn't be sleeping with the natives. 14:00 -- Linear A , Pictogram , Ancient Greece , Ancient Crete 15:00 -- I understand that this is an actual code used to 1:1 translate English into this writing. 16:15 -- Argos 16:40 -- Awkward. 18:00 -- That advanced ageing does not explain how they are able to function as adults. Is there also some sort of genetic memory happening? Maybe this is part of the human evolution being experimented on? 19:20 -- Was that a floppy disk? Oh god, this is 1997 isn't it? 19:45 -- Nanotech, sortof. 20:15 -- Will Jack be the test subject for everything? 22:00 -- Why would Carter come through the stargate without wearing a full hasmat suit? Hell, why would she be let out of quarantine on the other side? 23:15 -- Called it. 24:45 -- Called it. 27:15 -- I'd find a shithold planet to toss this sort of thing on. For a long-term solution, I'd have a stargate somewhere where I could toss materials out into an ocean or off a cliff using a rover. 29:30 -- Her bounce is incredible. 31:30 -- I would have linked the day/night cycle. Bringing full-spectrum lighting may give them more time. 32:00 -- I wouldn't try to incinerate advanced technology. For all they'd know, fire would only kill the material they're in, and distribute the particulate into the air. Presumably into air-scrubbers, but still out of proper containment. 33:20 -- How are they able to talk, when the stargate isn't even open? 36:00 -- Proximity-activated sleep-evolution-aging thingy. I as expecting a device under the statue. 37:00 -- You'd think she'd be all confused and surprised at never having seen nighttime before. 38:00 -- Called it. 38:10 -- Called that. 39:15 -- Prostate 40:30 -- Maybe they could have a short-ranged transmitter to quickly grow kids out of their stupidity. 40:45 -- Florida , United States 41:30 -- Shuffleboard 43:00 -- "Uh, guys, shouldn't I be staying a couple of weeks to bang thi I mean, make sure my ageing reverses. Then stay a while longer to bang thi I mean, make sure I stay the correct age? Then maybe I can come by on vacation to bang thi I mean, make sure that we maintain a "cultural connection" to her these people.
s01e10 - 1997-09-26 - Thor's Hammer ∞
Spoiler 2:00 -- See the thing about forbidding something is .. it's a good idea to not tell people about it, when there are a gajillion combinations for the stargate, and people aren't even allowed to play around with it. This is more than just security through obscurity . Thor , Norse mythology 2:50 -- That message to the stars thing has already been created. See the Voyager Golden Record . 7:40 -- Ettins (Jötunn ) 13:30 -- Jackson reached for his gun pretty damned quick. I thought he was awkward or pacifistic with them, but I guess that's changed. Maybe I should have been paying attention to this part of his character. 26:15 -- Vampire 27:00 -- A myth. Like it's existence, right? 31:45 -- Labyrinth , which would make the monster something like the Minotaur . 32:00 -- Why didn't it "die" like last time? They should have chased/hunted it, then gunned it down and cut it to pieces or some such. 34:30 -- So they'll kill the monster by throwing it through that portal, or having it lunge at them and fall through. 37:15 -- . Roll credits. 41:15 -- They should bury the gate. Cement is always the answer. 42:40 -- And Tilk is transported back to the cave. He is instead trapped on the planet.
s01e11 - 1997-10-03 - The Torment of Tantalus ∞
Spoiler s01e12 - 1997-10-10 - Bloodlines ∞
Spoiler 1:40 -- "Ryack" 5:15 -- Ryack is Tylk's son, and he also has a wife. 7:30 -- Faust 10:10 -- Did he sign out his staff and original military gear? Was the room empty? Were there no guards? 11:50 -- They must have had a cosplay expert whip up those uniforms from Tylk's memory. Also, wouldn't they be in the room before the gate is opened, so they can quickly get through. Seeing as it's going to be noticed on the other side, that would be prudent. 13:45 -- Why wouldn't they stay in costume? It's additionally strange when Tylk still has his half-suit on, but the rest of them change into uniform. 16:45 -- Bratek's odd-eye is distracting. 19:15 -- If Bratek knew Tylk well enough to expect his return for his son's ceremony, then he should have damned well known where his son and wife would be. 31:40 -- Um. What? I'm not sure I would compare larval parasites to children. 32:10 -- Run? 34:15 -- If they ran, and had that in mind, they'd probably not have been found. Oh also, they shot up the place and let the bad guys know they were there. 35:00 -- No, salvage their gear. 41:15 -- I hope he plans on killing them, so that his betrayal is not revealed. 42:45 -- So weren't the dudes that were chasing them able to go straight to the stargate, seeing as that would be their escape route?
s01e13 - 1997-10-17 - Fire and Water ∞
Spoiler 2:00 -- He's dead? Good. Roll credits. 3:15 -- That's their idea of quarentine? 3:30 -- We're all out of warm blankets, doctor, we just have these cold ones. 8:00 -- Posttraumatic stress disorder 8:05 -- No, idiot. The best thing you can do is listen to your fucking doctor, and have them go through grief counselling and anything else she recommends. 15:00 -- Cuneiform script 19:30 -- Wait, what? He kept expedition journals? That's classified information. 19:40 -- That's a quote from the original movie. 23:30 -- Serotonin , Neurotransmitter , Mood (psychology) , Depression 25:30 -- If only there were some sort of probe that could be sent through, to determine the status of the area around that planet's stargate. 33:00 -- Hypnosis 34:00 -- I thought O'Neil wasn't in active duty, so she wouldn't really need to ask his permission.. I guess that's a reflex.
s01e14 - 1997-10-24 - Hathor ∞
Spoiler s01e15 - 1997-10-31 - Singularity ∞
Spoiler 0:30 -- Eclipse , Black hole , Gravitational singularity , Accretion disk 1:40 -- If only there were some sort of long-distance communications method. One using invisible air waves that can transfer speech across great distances. 2:30 -- Tilk doesn't need to wear anything because of his parasite. Lucky(ish) him. 7:30 -- Hey I know her, oh my god! That's Katie Stuart , who I know from The Crow: Stairway to Heaven (1998-1999). 8:00 -- Uh, don't get too close? I won't go anywhere near her. 12:30 -- You'll be able to see her the whole time, through that camera? That's not creepy at all. 18:15 -- Potassium . Why not put her on an IV, since a deficiency would be life-threatening? 18:50 -- Quick continuity error there, with her shirt being open/closed. No I wasn't perving on her. 19:30 -- Whoa, that was an actual nipple. What the fuck, people. 24:00 -- Dude. You opened the roof in an area that's plagued. You may as well open the door and hope nothing wafts in. 25:30 -- Welp, kill the girl and cut it out. I have no problem with that, do you? Oh, you do. 27:30 -- Welp, kick the girl through the stargate into space. I have no prob-- oh, you still do? 28:45 -- Treat her like a heart transplant patient. Have the thing stop her heart, for all it matters, and put her on supports until a replacement heart can be found. Maybe. That's not exactly like killing her, right? 30:15 -- Whoa, those fighters can fit through the stargate. That's ominous. 33:45 -- Wouldn't the rest of them have to evacuate the building, the area and perhaps attempt to get the hell back to Cheyenne Mountain to be safe? I wouldn't be hanging around. 36:15 -- Can it be opened from the inside? 36:45 -- I wouldn't have let Sam go down in the first place. Because of this exact situation. 39:45 -- I also knew. Seems appropriate for an explosive meant to take out a thing to be set to go off if in proximity. 40:30 -- Personally I'd have eyes on her to make sure she never came back. I mean.. she's technically undetonated. Actually I'd be working on that heart transplant idea. Hell, if she died by accident or natural causes what's to keep the bomb from fucking off and blowing up? 40:45 -- Oh hell no, not every kid needs a dog. Fuck dogs. I mean, uh. You know what I mean. 41:30 -- Oh, it's being reabsorbed. 42:30 -- Toronto , Canada 42:45 -- Swing (seat)
s01e16 - 1998-01-23 - Cor-Ai ∞
Spoiler 0:15 -- I can't imagine anyone being so blazé about the stargate as to have it just be a part of some random bit of a village and not either left the hell alone or treated as a sight of some significance.. to be turned into the focus of a temple or the like. 0:30 -- No, I saw a fire. It's not deserted. 1:00 -- Brussels sprouts 1:15 -- If the gould were recently there to "harvest", then you'd think there would be evidence of a struggle. 6:00 -- You'd think Tylk would be disarmed. They do know the staves are weapons, since they have a lot of exposure to the Gould. 12:45 -- Idiot. 16:30 -- Talmudic -- "Only he who is wrong can forgive". 18:15 -- Superior orders , see also Command responsibility 20:30 -- While I'm glad all of this regret and responsibility is being taken care of now , it's been on my mind for a very long time now and I wish it were addressed earlier. Perhaps the series wouldn't have had the proper flow, or acceptance, had this downer been introduced too early. 21:15 -- By describing his regret and acceptance of his deeds, it would reveal the difference in his character from then and now. 23:45 -- Well that's the dumbest complement to pay a woman. I'll have to remember it. 23:45 -- If only they could tip the stargate over. I don't know, perhaps with some sort of thick-twine. 26:15 -- Kangaroo court 32:45 -- I love the looks. Still relevant. 36:00 -- Perhaps they shouldn't be talking about a breakout in front of the execution-preparers. 37:00 -- He just called her Catherine. 42:00 -- So about that bandage around his gut. Is it.. did they put it there so hide larva wouldn't escape, or was it makeup wanting to hide the 'x' there, or maybe just his gut? 42:30 -- Concrete. Defend yourselves with concrete.
s01e17 - 1998-01-30 - Enigma ∞
Spoiler s01e18 - 1998-02-06 - Solitudes ∞
Spoiler 1:00 -- Aww, I hate when my system overloads with a 44. 4:30 -- It seems to be that every series has some glaring bit of stupidity or dislikeable character. This frowney-faced fuck is annoying as hell. 7:00 -- "It doesn't work that way". Yeah! 14:15 -- Or they got sent through to some other place, and the rest of them got vaporized. 15:30 -- I assumed that the firefight had some shooting at the stargate which fucked things up. 16:00 -- See the thing about duress of torture is that torture can be very effective. Hence why torture is still a thing. Can be effective, but .. well isn't always. So maybe with their advanced technology they would have advanced torture techniques or some such. That's reasonable. Why am I even considering this topic? 17:15 -- NEC cathode ray tube computer monitor . 25:00 -- Missing in action 26:45 -- Holy shit, I guess she really wasn't properly military trained for this sort of shit, because she's been all manner of a downer. 39:00 -- McMurdo Station , Antarctica
s01e19 - 1998-02-13 - Tin Man ∞
Spoiler 1:15 -- It looks like an technologically-earlier planet that's been captured by a more advanced force. 9:45 -- Why wouldn't they either stay or bring him back with them? 11:00 -- They're clones? 11:15 -- Replicants?
13:15 -- Why aren't they worried about where the real team are? 14:30 -- Phantom limb 16:45 -- Why wouldn't SGC assume that this is a ruse for them to go back, or open the gate for an invasion or some such? 20:30 -- Imagine bringing the elderly, the terminally ill, the disabled.. populate that place with the willing to become experts in technology far beyond humanity. Sew the seeds for an artificial race. 28:30 -- Hubble units? Like Hubble volume ? 36:00 -- This whole thing means he can make multiple copies, right? Take some psychologically well-adjusted people who are willing and make a bunch of clones of them? 41:00 -- Given the opportunity to take the world's brightest and not just make copies but make them immortal.. and they do nothing with it. Pfft, humans. 42:15 -- All the codes could, and still should, be changed. Burying the gate is a stupid idea. The basic technologies alone would be incredible.
s01e20 - 1998-02-20 - There But For the Grace of God ∞
Spoiler s01e21 - 1998-02-27 - Politics (1) ∞ Warning: This episode does a lot of shark-jumping. A better cut of it would be way better for a binge-watcher.
Spoiler 0:30 -- "And you were there.." quoting The Wizard of Oz - (1939 movie) at least, and perhaps the book too. 1:45 -- Well if she were a civilian then it would be okay. 3:00 -- Oh hell, does every show have to pursue an end-season viewer-hostage situation? 5:15 -- It costs nearly a billion dollars just to turn the lights on. 6:45 -- Is that actor from RoboCop - (1987 movie) ? I'm not going to bother looking him up, but I'll do another "I recognize that actor". Because I do. 9:00 -- Is he really making the risk-reward argument? How about proposing to make the project public? 10:00 -- Pandora's box , Greek mythology 12:15 -- Cold War
I'm not going to track down the "enemies at the gate" quote. It reminds me of Nixon. 12:45 -- "Upload a virus into the mothership" is a plot point of Independence Day (1996 film) 17:00 -- Take their weapons. 18:00 -- It wasn't just "one of their own", it was Apophis' first prime. It's not like any of it was easy, it took the help of the very best Jafa. 20:15 -- Why would a senator be making military decisions. There's a general right there. Or better yet, perhaps a third-party military strategist could become involved yet still detached to provide high-level analyses. 22:15 -- Why is there even an argument? Mass drivers. There's no fucking way a planet-bound civilization could ever ever win against a superior force from space. Not ever.
Are we talking idiot-aliens who only want to fuck around but not wage proper war, who have soldiers defect, who have their technology stolen and reverse-engineered.. and who take so damned long to do anything that the planet can actually get their shit together and still somehow make it into space and actually wage war on equal footing? But.. somehow still without the space-accessible resources, be they materials, personnel or equipment, somehow still win? Why, oh why could any discussion possibly take place? Superior enemy in a superior position. Done. Go for guerilla warfare for defence, and drag out the combat so long that they give up taste for it. But they won't, they're insane and at some point they'll use mass drivers. Because mass drivers. Concrete from space. 22:45 -- Is this all going to be shark-jumping? It's like this series is also sitting down with investors trying to convince them to continue funding this series. 28:30 -- Plagues are also something being handled under special circumstances. Which supposedly (though not visible) are present for SGC, and that includes a facility-destruction mechanism.
Diseases, viruses and bacteria are very important fields of study, and finding new strains would actually be exceedingly important for advancing medical science. This is one of the many things which would benefit mankind if the program were made public.
s01e22 - 1998-03-06 - Within the Serpent's Grasp (2) ∞
Spoiler 2:00 -- Buried? In concrete, right? I bet it would be concrete. 4:00 -- Surgical strike 4:45 -- Why would it be unauthorized? Would their authorization have been revoked? I guess so. 7:30 -- They could use proper lights for all it matters. The gate makes a lot of noise, vibrates and is a big light show. Anyone around knows they're there. 7:45 -- Thank you. 13:00 -- Television , Showtime (TV network) If that thing is for communications, why is it there? Is it using the wormhole technology for transmission? Is it transmitting right now? If so, why aren't the gate's lights on? Hell, why didn't the gate work earlier? For that matter, what was that shockwave? How do I bake a cake? 14:30 -- Court-martial 15:15 -- Open it, shoot them-- oh wait, it's probably what's her face. 19:15 -- Open it. Shoot them. 21:30 -- Yeah, go where? They're in a nice position to check out the unguarded military stuff. Maybe sabotage it. The one in the coffin is the guy's ex-wife.
