I get an error:
Failed to open the disk image file (path) Could not find the file for the medium '(path)' (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) Result Code: VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004)
.. the file is fucking there.
Maybe the best bet is to use Ventoy and it’s Linux vDisk Boot Plugin. Then I can still have a bootable USB stick and access that via booting from another Linux, running VirtualBox and opening that .vmdk; but it’s so dumb.

Reworked this page a little bit to clean it up. There is technically more that can be done, but I’m not going to bother.

I ripped the icons locally, so I can use them with my virtual machine desktop symlinks.
I only want the “plain” versions, .ico files are packed with multiple images therein and unfortunately the larger size preferred by my desktop icon size also has the text.
Oh well. I could fiddle, but I can’t be bothered to learn something new.
