praXrom 1.1.0beta3 has been updated to pdaXii13 until such a time as the new revisions have been figured out. To see those, go to the main pdaXrom topic.

All the packages compatible with 1.1.0 beta3 are compatible with pdaXii13 and vice versa.

• Ok+pwd doesn’t work as expected
• NAND restore
• ON+pwd = sharp load screen – I got the Sharp ROM in Japanese!

• On+pwd, 4 works.

• Perform a flash update (OK)
• select “3 NAND Flash utils” -> “1 Resize root partition”. 58 is recommended.
• Perform a flash update (OK)
• Now select “1 Install new ROM” and wait.
• Press Yes for question about format user partition and wait when it will reboot

• At login type “root” – without the quotes – then hit enter

• Type startx – then hit enter

• Wait while the GUI starts up

If you want use root partition more than 57 MB on SL-C760/C860/C1000/C3100 you will need fix kernel loader from “3. NAND Flash utils” -> “3. Fix loader 64MB limit”. After update it will reboot, after that repartition flash with new size and reinstall system.

— I don’t know how necessary this is. I ran it after performing the above install steps. Things seem to have worked out.

Review ∞

• MPlayer isn’t loaded by default. =/
• needs Kino2
• enlarge the window manager buttons, dammit.
• default applications are seriously lacking.
• rxvt‘s default size is too large.
• XMMS took forever to begin to begin to play.
• xmms studders when working with the date/time GUI. In fact, it studders under a lot of circumstances.
• The system is pretty godawfully slow.
• No sound applet. OSS Mixer is available when manually launched. Perhaps a hotkey or the jog dial could be made to adjust sound?

• shift-Home blacked the screen and after a little while the system locked up (the sound stopped playing)

Opinion: Not ready for life. I want to be able to do basic things while playing sound.
