When the distribution is performing the install, if the periods go way past the 100%-mark then you probably have a bad

Troubleshooting ∞
Holding OK and pressing the power button does nothing ∞
The orange power light is on when the power cable is plugged in.
There is no change when holding OK and pressing power. Nothing ever happens.
I tried a Zaurus SL-C1000 NAND backup or restore to no avail.
The power light blinks if the battery is out, OK is held while the power is plugged in.
… I screwed around for a long while before it finally decided to work.
When this happened a second time, I couldn’t fix it. I couldn’t even do a NAND restore.. it was refusing to find the NAND file. What the fuck.
Selecting option 4 does nothing ∞
Whatever you choose seems to give the Japanese “not found” message.
solution: make sure you have the power cord plugged in.
- if your previous OS powers on when you press
power:
-
I had this happen with a previous install of pdaXrom, and did a NAND restore.
- If none of this does anything, then try emergency console boot:
Zaurus SL-C1000 emergency console boot
Log in as root, type reboot and hold OK. It should get you into the proper mode, with the Japanese maintenance screen.
cannot type anything ∞
The blue install screen is seen, but you cannot cursor or press enter to select options. The cursor is on ‘OK’ but blinks slower than usual.
Just wait a minute and it will begin to work again.
This was seen with weeXpc 1.7 final.
