The early days of Gotham City.
This loiters on all the named characters, trying to explore their backstories. I didn’t like it.

s01e01 – 2014-09-22 – “Pilot” ∞
Spoiler
- 0:15 — It’s already an adorably tween-friendly show.
- 1:20 — With skills like that, why would she have to be a petty thief? No mentor, I suppose.
- 1:40 — Cats are lactose intolerant. She is a dick to cats.
- 1:50 — Obvious Wayne scene is obvious.
- 2:05 — Why the hell would Bruce be acting like that. Didn’t he really want to leave the Opera? Is there some retconning going on here, or is previous movie content not cannon?
- 2:30 — There was no reason for the robber to shoot. What the fuck. Are the writers not even trying?
- 3:15 — With great power comes gr— oh.
- 7:25 — It can always get wor– oh.
- 7:40 — They’re the Waynes, they don’t need no stinking cab. They have a driver.
- 7:45 — “Came out of the shadows”.. not something a kid would say. Oh right, comic books.
- 9:30 — Cut to Bruce as an adult.
- 13:00 — Lackadaisical — Feeling, or showing, a lack of interest or enthusiasm.
- 13:15 — So… the cops don’t identify themselves.
- 14:00 — Fucking idiot Riddler, I take it.
- 15:05 — Nigma? Called it.
- 15:15 — Who would know they were at the theatre? Staff, other theatre-goers, friends, family, employees. Oh look, a list of suspects.
- 15:30 — Oswald.
- 15:45 — Mr. Guillotine(?)
- 17:10 — Penguin.
- 17:25 — Butch Kilzene(?)
- 18:35 — Chiiiiinnnnn
- 20:10 — Oh, cell phones. So this diverges from the comic book universe.
- 20:55 — Mario Pepper
- 21:15 — Identify yourselves as police. Sigh.
- 21:15 — Ivy. As in Poison Ivy.
- 23:00 — I hope the stupid shaky face-cam doesn’t get used ever again.
- 23:25 — Extremely clean garbage cans.
- 23:30 — The garbage cans vanished.
- 24:30 — But the pearls were sold, weren’t they? Or did I misunderstand and there was only an attempt to sell them.
- Obvious power play by Penguin was obvious.
- 39:00 — Uh, walk right in, in a nice line..
- 41:35 — “In bocca al lupo” is Italian for “good luck”.
- 43:45 — Why would Gordon’s partner be hanging back, instead of having a gun trained on him? Also, wouldn’t there be just one bullet.
- 44:45 — The penguin is deaf in his left ear now. Also, since his partner was definitely following him, and definitely saw it was fake, and he definitely had just one bullet, Gordon was definitely killed. Except not, because he has plot immunity.
-
47:50 — So Catgirl is Batboy’s Batman? Or something.
So far this is crappy.
s01e2 – 2014-09-29 – Selina Kyle ∞
Spoiler
- 0:50 — I hope that kid is in expensive councelling.
- 1:35 — Well I’m sure shitty proxy-parenting will make up for things. There won’t be any long-term psychological issues.
- 3:00 — Throwing a guy through a window isn’t subtle. It’s actually a great way to get noticed.
- 3:35 — A dead body, a dead.. oh it’s a man. Nevermind.
- 4:00 — Called it.
- 6:50 — A man in need, let’s tease him.
- 21:40 — I really don’t like his girlfriend.
- 27:00 — Yay, protecting children. But fuck that homeless bum, he’s just a man.
- 29:15 — I thought Alfred and Bruce were on very good terms.
- 29:30 — Tea time, when’s that?
- 29:45 — Way to demonize heavy metal music.
- She’s far too cute to be sent upstate.
- 30:20 — That’ll get taken from her.
- 36:20 — Called it.
- 37:10 — No psychiatrists. Called it, sortof.
-
40:15 — But. But. Patriarchy!
Still not interesting. This might be worth another episode.

- 10:20 — Why would he be so poor?
- 11:15 — A tuna sandwich.. I was waiting for that one.
- 14:50 — Why would he be so poor? What happened to the money that would have been on the two kids? What about the car?
- 21:00 — Balloonman. Uh.
- 27:10 — Who is.. what is.. I guess this show just doesn’t grab my attention. I took a bit of a break.
- 28:20 — The kiss is okay, she let that one happen.. but
-
