On Borderlands 2, run when pressing Mouse4 ∞

(Borderlands 2 – (2012 game))

Goal: Make clicking (but not holding) mouse button 4 do this for me:

• When mouse button 4 has been pressed and released.
• Hold w
• Tap shift
• Stop holding w when any mouse button is pressed

• Stop holding w when any key is clicked

Solution:

• Switch to Layer 1
• Under Mouse Button 4, select Simulated Keys
• Custom keys: {SHIFT}w
• How to send: 8 Sticky

• Global (advanced) setting called “Reset sticky on any key press”

Swallows the initial keypress when resetting sticky buttons ∞

1)

with no x-mouse:

• Press and hold shift-w — the character runs forward

• Press and hold s — the character moves backwards

With x-mouse:

• Press then release mouse button 4 — the character runs forward

• Press and hold s — the character stands still

2)

• Press and hold shift-w — The character runs forward

• Press then release space, press and hold w — The character jumps forward, then continues running forward

With x-mouse:

• Press then release mouse button 4 — the character runs forward

• Press then release space, press and hold w — the character jumps forward, then stands still

This is only a nuisance to me, but I thought you ought to know.
