A button bar helper thingy.

The latest version broke on 2008-05-26, and I had a note to instead use the archived 1.2b
Configuration ∞
General ∞
If you’ve done this before, then type /bongos, go to Profiles, click ‘Default’ and click ‘Set’. Then select your old profile and click ‘delete’.
/bongos
Profiles >
- click ‘Save’ > type “Default”
-
click the old entry > click ‘delete’.

Lock ActionBars (un-check)
Action Bars ∞
/bongos config
- ‘roll’ (left) – drag it to the right so that it wouldn’t be overtop of your party UnitFrames.
-
‘xp bar’ (top thin bar) –
middle-clickit to hide it- I recommend you not install this bongos component.
-
‘stats’ (top, right area) – carefully mouseover it (Fubar un-hiding may get in the way) and drag it under the xp bar where you can see it. It will “snap” and middle-align itself automatically. Then
middle-clickit to hide it. It’s mostly-useless except for filing a gm report. To do that, type /bongos then un-lock your bars,middle-clickthe menu bar to show it, lock your bars, then click the “?”. Yes, it’s a pain and I’m open to better suggestions. I wonder if bongos has slash commands to make this easier or if I could make a macro+hotkey.- I recommend you not install this bongos component.
- ‘bags’ (bottom, right) – drag it under your ‘stats’ bar at the top-middle. Then
middle-clickit to hide it. It is obsoleted by “Baud Bag” and assigning thebkey to open all of your bags. - ‘menu’ (bottom, right) – drag it under your ‘bags’ bar at the top-middle. Then
middle-clickit to hide it. -
‘cast’ (middle) – drag it under your ‘menu’ bar at the top-middle. Then
middle-clickit to hide it. It is obsoleted by “Quartz“.- I recommend you not install this bongos component.
–
-
‘pet’ (bottom, middle) – drag it up out of the way in the middle somewhere.
- make your action bars
- Action Bar 1 is there by default, at the bottom-middle.
- Make 2 – Hold
altthen click above action bar 1. Drag your mouse to make a 1×12 box. - Make 3 – Hold
altthen click above action bar 2. Drag your mouse to make a 1×12 box. So now you should have three bars. I use these three bars for hotkeys1through=, thenshift 1throughshift =thenalt 1throughalt =. These days I only do shift and alt up to 5 or 6 since I use my left hand for those hotkeys. - Make 4 – on the left out of the way. I use this bar for hotkeys.
Middle-clickto hide it when you’re done. -
make 5 – as a 2×6 near the bottom right-hand corner. Don’t snap it to the right side though. I use this bar for misc. crap like food/water.
–
-
‘pet’ (bottom, middle) This bar is reduced in size. I like to drag the bottom-right corner out a bit to scale it up a bit so it matches my other bars better and my hotkeys are more visually intuitive.
After all the above mess, type /bongos config
Key Bindings ∞
/keybound or /kb
Be Certain that ‘Character Specific Key Bindings’ is selected!
To add a hotkey, hover your mouse over an action bar and then press the hotkey.
I set up my three rows of action bars with 1 through to = then shift 1 through to shift = then alt 1 through to alt =. Now I almost never use hotkeys past 5 but the option is there and it seems very intuitive to me.
