Kids are trained as secret agents and assassins, but one girl wants a normal life.
This is a cutesy teen movie. Complete bubblegum. Not to be mistaken for a spy movie. That notion would risk heavy offence from so much hollow girlishness.
Maybe if you liked braindead teen flicks you'd be into this. I don't, so I wasn't.
Maybe the title is supposed to be a play on Lethal Weapon, but to me it screams "Barely Legal". I don't know what the fuck these people could possibly be thinking.
The opening credits are amazing. An actual explanation and entertaining enough to distract FROM THERE FUCKING BEING OPENING CREDITS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Oh god, I hate that concept.
This movie plays off the girl power trope. Females being so rarely more than adorable at any of these concepts makes it a pleasant fiction. Even at the very opening credits this screamed "twelve year-old chick flick". I even predicted the pink boot laces.
There's the mandatory first-world girl materialistic dress-up scene. This is an actual thing. And the prom. What the fuck. I had to stop here.
