A writer visiting contemporary Paris is repeatedly transported to 1920s Paris.
This has been described as a romantic comedy, but there is neither romance nor comedy to be found. It’s dry and drags its feet.
- 2:30 — God that music is repetitive..
- 4:15 — Imagine this city before the terrorism..
- 7:45 — I already dislike this movie. It’s awkward and unfunny.
- 9:30 — It’s so odd hearing him without an English accent.
- 11:00 — Oh, a little nod to the suicide bombings.

Port. Marry, sir, nose-painting, sleep and urine. Lechery, sir, it provokes, and unprovokes; it provokes the desire, but it takes away the performance; therefore, much drink may be said to be an equivocator with lechery: it makes him, and it mars him; it sets him on, and it takes him off; it persuades him, and disheartens him; makes him stand to, and not stand to; in conclusion, equivocates him in a sleep, and, giving him the lie, leaves him.
— Macbeth – (1623 play), by William Shakespeare (Act 2, Scene 3)
- 15:45 — If she gave him his manuscript without his permission.. that’s grounds for divorce. Earlier, he expressly refused that specific thing.
- 17:00 — Find a major street, get a cab. Use a phone?
- 19:30 — Let’s Do It, Let’s Fall in Love – (1928 song), by Cole Porter

36:15 — I ought to be noting the names of the various famous people being mentioned.. but I’m having a hard time enjoying this movie.
Half way in and it still hasn’t grabbed me.. I’m ending this.
