Upon contact with aliens, humans set up a space station to promote ambassadorial relations among species.

Easily among the best television I've seen. Everything about this series is phenomenal: acting, stories, sets, etc. Unfortunately, the graphics do appear dated in places, but it otherwise holds up very well.

Mandatory viewing.

• It is important to follow a Babylon 5 viewing order.

• See also Crusade - (1999 show), the spin-off which should not be watched!

• The DVD quality of the series is definitely not as good as I recall seeing it on TV. There is a bad blocky quality to a lot of the CGI-work. Perhaps that's the television experience, compared to viewing with a monitor.
• Season 3 doesn't allow me to skip ahead to begin playing right from the main menu. I have to click 'play' to begin it.

• Season 4 lets me skip right through after inserting the disk, to begin playing without having to deal with the damned menu.

• TODO - The expression "Moon faced assassin of joy" is a reference to moon face!
