See, here’s the problem. With nothing to do between wars you’d think they’d at least scout the region that their short-range defence fighters could be in.

If a meteorite hit and wasn’t completely deflected, it would thump solidly.. and so the force would go into the frame of the shelter. If that frame can’t handle the force of the strike then it collapses.
