It seemed nice, but it wasn't ready for life when I tested it.

2009-04-07 - 1.3.1 on PCLinuxOS (version not recorded)
2009-04-07 - 1.3.1 ∞
Fails.. would need some manual figuring out. Seems to have potential.
Installation ∞
Be aware that you have to close all programs and log out after you're done.
apt-get install slim
The description for SLiM says:
To change your login manager to SLiM, open the PCLinuxOS Control Center, click on the System tab, then click on the button that says "Choose the display manager that enables to select which user to log in". Select SLiM and reboot your computer.
However, since drakconf
didn't actually exist..
apt-get install drakconf
Then run pcc
Boot > Set up display manager
Then restart your X session.
Use ∞
Looks great, lets you log in.
Doesn't summon up a window manager.
Pressing F1
at its login screen lets you toggle between a bunch of window managers you don't have. But it's only one way toggling, you can't go back.. so if you miss your window manager you have to cycle through the whole list again. Lame.
It won't work with Openbox. I couldn't even get KDE and it's kwin[doesn't exist] window manager to launch automatically.
And now I'm stuck with it, I can't get kdm
working again.
Trying control-alt-backspace
..
Removed it. It's not ready for life unless I actually spend some time learning to configure it.
