I export from the desktop (because that's easier), but it doesn't sync changes back to my phone, even when I do a "sync now" on the phone.
- Logging out/in on the desktop app does not help.
- I don't even know how to relog on the phone; maybe I need to remove the Samsung account then re-add it, but I'm not going to bother.
If you have trouble drawing on top of the black lock screen (and it's enabled), then check Settings > Apps > Samsung Notes > [x] Appear on top
Settings > Apps > Samsung Notes > [_] Change system settings shows as on at the App info screen, but not when I click the actual "Change system settings" text. So which is honored?
Be able to change the default locked Notes stroke color and style.
- Why isn't full functionality there?
I used to have a default lock screen Notes file, but now I can't figure out how to set it. I used this as a way to communicate with someone who might find my phone. Instead, I put my email alongside the clock.

God damn is it slow to export a simple text file.
It's annoying to select all to export.
Exporting as a PDF does not create one with selectable text.
Sync worked to fetch files, but not to sync my changes back to my phone. It just hangs with a loading circle when attempting it; sad.
- Re-launching the app doesn't help.

Drawing right in a note is annoying to do because it can't figure out multiple words.
The virtual keyboard with the writing space..
- Allows writing multiple words, but it's just slow enough to be annoying.
- Keeps inserting carriage returns (line breaks).
To delete a text box, use the selection tool, lasso around it and then a menu will pop up.
- There should be an option to delete it when I hold down within the box. Instead, I have to select all and cut it.
You can drag/slide the bottom bar to the left to get more features.
- It should have a little arrow to indicate this, but Samsung is dumb.
Convert handwriting to text: I just want to convert my handwriting to plain text.
- I don't want my text to be colored.
- I don't want it in it's own text box.
- It might convert but get the lines in the wrong order, which is fucking obnoxious.
Handwriting to emoji would be nice. I think maybe I have that turned off.
