-
Various first and third-party cases, and various third-party rugged cases
- There are phone cases with millimeter-perfect raised bezels which are just tall enough to protect the screen and Edge Screen curvature when the phone is placed face down. [ 4 ] An additional benefit is that it makes it less annoying to slide your finger across from the edge across the screen.

Cannot use the S Pen on the bottom of the S22 ∞
When using the S Pen, and the hovering over the pen at the bottom middle has the dot misaligned, or you are unable to click, it's likely there is magnetism there.
I reproduced this when my device was plugged in and being charged with an adsorption (magnetic) cable.
[Unsolved] - S Pen stinks like a damaged battery - "burnt" ∞
Not only is this a thing, it's apparently been a thing since it's inception.
TL;DR the smell is generated by the pen itself. It isn't solved by either cleaning of any sort or by ventilation. It's a property of the pen; don't smell it.

USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) certification ∞
USB certification logo *The USB Implementers Forum, Inc. (USB-IF) was established in 1995 to support and accelerate the market and consumer adoption of USB compliant devices.
I didn't check for S22 certification, but I'm certain it exists. Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra's Super Fast Charging have been certified: TID 2683, TID 2684: (certification pdf)
A good reseller will tout their certification. If you trust that the certification is even real and not just some text in the description, you can verify your chargers and cables at https://usb.org/single-product/IF_CODE

Custom ROM ∞

I installed this GSI Pixel Experience ROM ( 12.1 v416):
https://github.com/ponces/treble_build_pe/releases/
By following the following tutorial:
https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Samsung-Galaxy-S22-(Exynos)
And everything works perfectly.
Even better than this Thread's version...
For safety, I did a clean install of the stock rom before doing these manipulations to have a clean base.
Attention, do a stock rom installation via Odin of Android 12 for v12.1 and Android 13 for v13 from GSI.

- To prove that a case is raised enough to protect a screen, wet a counter/table, place the phone (in it's case) face-down next to the puddle, and run the phone over the puddle. The screen should come up dry. Re-wet the counter more thoroughly to make a taller height of water and slide the phone again. A case that is "good enough" will pass the first test, and a great case will pass the second test. Remember that the phone itself is IP68 (waterproof), but should dried before use. Also, rough surfaces may still have raised parts which can touch the screen. Lastly, the screen has Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus®+ on both the screen and rear so it's quite tough. Screen protectors exist for people who remain worried. [ ↩ ]
