Driven by De Beers' manufactured value of diamonds, the story follows a robbery being investigated by police and an ugly insurance woman of some sort.
Maybe it gets better, but it's slow and boring. Maybe I needed to see an extended-length pilot episode. This has John Hurt, but that's not good enough for me. Maybe I should have given this more of a chance, but .. I'm not going to.
- Has scenes spoken in the French language, with English subtitles. It takes place in France, so there are a lot.

Spoiler
- 5:00 -- They would seriously shoot someone? I guess because he was armed, though he was only presumed dangerous. Did they know ahead of time that they were even shooting at a bad guy?
- 12:00 -- It's interesting that this is french, with subtitles. They're somewhat-jarringly introducing English people into it. That habit will get awkward quick.
- God that woman's forehead is huge. She is not attractive in the least.
- 13:10 -- omg it's John Hurt!
-
15:45 -- "The Hydook(?) stole from the rich and gave to the poor."
- Who?
- 15:55 -- Robin Hood
- 17:00 -- No, no she's not going to Belgrade (Serbia). Period. She doesn't have to do anything.
- So is this series to reinforce the myth of the value of diamonds?
- 23:10 -- Újmajor, Nógrád, Hungary
- 27:45 -- Full frontal male nudity. Well this is going to be an interesting series.
- 30:00 -- Belgrade, Serbia
- 31:45 -- Signs of PTSD. The non-Twitter "real" variety. But psychological issues are a social construct, amirite?
-
46:15 -- Women are special. The men I know well and work with I will shoot to save her. Because reasons.
- I suppose the one guy failed him and the other guy is a weakling, but come on.
- Oh, there are reasons. I guess they'll get to that later. They better be bloody damned good reasons.

Spoiler
- It occurs to me that they would note the missing watch as well as the diamonds. It would get published in the papers, which would mess up a bunch of the opening plot.
- 2:30 -- Her wet in the shower still does not compel me to any attraction whatsoever.
- 5:00 -- Her place is huge and expensive.
- 6:15 -- London, England
- 50 million euro sure buys a whole lot of manpower. Shame diamonds were monopolized and positioned to have perceived value. This crime and loss of lives could have been prevented.
- 10:30 -- Wow, was that a PTSD joke at her expense?
- 11:00 -- So she's all driven and wants revenge and stuff. She never wanted in, was pissed off when he was a dick about sending her, and suddenly wants to go back? What the fuck is wrong with this character? Did she recognize the guy or something? Some glimpse of her thinking would have been nice.
- 13:00 -- So this main character's motivation is this other guy. So he kills based on the length of acquaintance. I guess the chain of killing goes robbers -> some woman -> bestest friend. I'll wait to see where his old gang fits in.
- 19:30 -- Even from a side-shot, that woman is way better looking than the lead.
- 21:00 -- So does she know that guy or not? What the fuck?
-
23:00 -- The very first thing done for interrogation is to separate people so that their stories can't be coordinated.
Looks like I'm no longer compelled to take notes, I'm just watching it.
- Shit, maybe not.
- 37:55 -- Dude is a dick to water dispenser thingies. And maintenance / custodial people.
-
39:20 -- Who wears a pendant, well first off what guy wears a pendant, but who wears a pendant inside of a turtle-neck then with the pendant hanging out of the front of it like that? Ugh.
Meh, I'm bored now.

Spoiler
-
11:15 -- Oh my, I recognize that actor. That beard isn't fooling me. I can't place him from his voice though. So. Uh, I guess his beard is doing its job.
- I checked, and it's Joseph Mawle.
- 14:45 -- Bomb threat
- 19:45 -- That's a patriotic umbrella.
- 24:00 -- .. this is just too boring.
