OptionHouse is an AddOn to manage AddOns. It's a pretty simple concept.
Works, but no longer shows what addons are loaded
-
It's called OptionHouse on curse, and the escape menu shows "Option House" (with a space)
1) Press escape and get a menu
2) View a list of your AddOns.
You can easily see what's loaded and what's not:
In this screenshot, my mouse would be hovering over the item for OptionHouse. At the top-middle, you can see a popup with AddOn information.
3) Enable or disable whatever you want and click Reload UI.
4) There is also a Performance tab at the bottom, which will give you a nice sortable list of your AddOns and what resources they're using:
Keep in mind that Memory usage has next to nothing to do with the speed of your game experience. Do not be fooled!
There is an Enable CPU button at the bottom-right which will enable CPU profiling. An AddOn's memory usage isn't so relevant, but the amount of CPU time it needs to keep going is.
In an upcoming post I'll go over a way to create AddOn profiles so that when you get into raiding you can quickly disable the unnecessary AddOns to get the most out of your computer. Of course speed is a very complex topic and reaches well beyond the game and its AddOns. An earlier blog posting of mine shows the steps I took to install Windows XP and tweak it to make it quite fast.
I do believe this AddOn also creates a /rl or /reloadui slash command for you. The usual /console reloadui still works of course. Or you can use its Reload UI button.
There's really nothing to it. This is one of a few AddOn-management AddOns which are at the core of my list.
