How I got my mic working ∞

2017-11-06 – I wonder if the buzz this was a “ground loop”. I’ve learned a lot since back then, and audio is a difficult subject.

• mute everything but master and pcm
• mic boost – on, but it gives a buzz.
• mic select – mic2 is lower buzz than mic1
• mic front input on
• [capture] – mic (press space)
• [capture] – ‘capture’ sets the volume. 60-70 seems good

• [capture] – everything else is off/un-slected/no volume.

If I plug a mic in the back, and I plug a headset in the front for audio.. then it works pretty well. no echo since I have a headset on.. and the volume isn’t bad.

Get rid of the buzzing by removing and re-inserting the mic in the front panel.

Do not insert then remove a mic in the back when it’s live.. I get a nasty nasty buzzing.
